As a voice teacher, I believe that my job is to allow the students to discover their own unique characteristics. I like to teach in an relaxed environment where the student will be able to develop a healthy (learning bad techniques can be harmful to the throat and body) strong techniques. It is important for the students to learn their own bodies and limit, while being taught to use their bodies to help produce beautiful singing.
Singing is more than just about using their voice and achieving proper technique.. It is equally important to learn the music history, theory, acting, etc. appropriate to the piece they are working on. When everything comes together with proper singing and the correct knowledge, students will be able to perform a piece in an intelligent manner.
Finally, something I have learned from my previous teachers, it is important to go beyond being just a teacher, and become a role-model and a mentor to my students.

Hi there! My name is Jen V. to many Ms. Jen) and I am a Artist and Vocal Coach who loves to teach. A couple unique things about your experience with me:
1. I teach based on your needs and the way you learn
2. I teach people how to read music using colors
3. We always learn but we always have a blast
4. With permission I teach Music theory using video games and different teaching tools.
5. I am one of the most patient people you'll ever meet.
So if you love to sing... I love to teach! Let's have a lesson soon.
About Jennifer
I specialize in helping people find their Voices in a personalized, relaxed environment. I work with Television Level Artists to those who just love to Sing! We are all a Active performance based studio as well. I also want to note my lessons are considerably more expensive here because 40 percent of my pay check is taken by the company and given back in percentages on a tier system through time. I have a background check on my personal company but choose not to pay for it for both. I think education is important so I wanted to share that. Thanks so much, - Jen

Each student is unique, and it's difficult to classify as "beginner/intermediate/advanced" since student objectives are unique as well. I'm interested in understanding where you are on the spectrum for a wide variety of skills, and will work with each student to move along the spectrum on skills that are important to his or her objectives.
About Cindy
Lessons with Cindy are self-directed with coaching intended to help the student accomplish his or her personal objectives. She will ask you to provide examples of music that you love so much that you'd be willing to work hard to learn to play it, and you will find yourself working on that music right from the start. Technique is taught in the context of the music: if you need a technique for a particular song, you will learn that technique. And of course once you've mastered a technique it's yours to use on the next song or tune and the next. It's a constant process of enjoying the music and discovering and mastering the technique needed to recreate it in your own playing or singing.
*** Lesson Details ***
Lessons start with a review of the work you've been doing. We might take that song or tune to the next level with a new technique, or we might apply technique you've already learned to a new piece. Every lesson is different, customized to the needs of the student at that moment.

Music is a beautiful language, and I love being able to help others discover that beauty and express themselves through it.
After studying vocal music in college, my goal is to help students tap into their own musical personality, combining proper musical technique with personal style and expression.
We will begin with assessing where you are in skill level and musical knowledge, and lesson plans will be based on what you hope to achieve. My students will learn basic terminology, musicality, and proper vocal technique, allowing them to access their full range of talent. My goal is for each student to come away from each lesson with new knowledge and skills, and for them to find enjoyment through learning. Music is fun and exciting!
About December
Music was instilled in me from a very young age with piano lessons, and I grew up playing the piano, flute, and singing in choirs. I graduated from Grove City College with a degree in vocal music, and always looked forward to teaching piano and voice lessons during the summer months. My students appreciate that lessons are fun and worthy of their time. You will not walk away from a lesson without new knowledge and skills!
In my spare time, I usually have some craft in hand. Knitting has become a favorite hobby of mine, and being mostly self taught, I love helping others discover how easy and rewarding it can be!
My goal is to help you have fun while practicing your skills, and to learn something new and attainable at each lesson. Lessons will be based on
