I believe that having a passion or hobby in your life especially introduced at a young age helps teach you how to reach goals, be creative, learn discipline and most importantly brings happiness! I will teach you how to sing with your instrument and dance with your heart. It’s never too early or too late to start fiddlin! I teach all ages, from 3 to 103! I've been playing the fiddle for 26 years and have been teaching for 10 years. I welcome students of all ages and have taught people between the ages of 5 and 60. I started out learning with a fiddle teacher playing by ear and then later switched to a classical teacher so I have a broad range of music that I love. But my favorite style to play is fiddle music.

What's the difference between a violin and a fiddle?
According to the age old joke, "a fiddle is fun to listen to!"

While there's really no difference in instrument, only in style, and with no disrespect meant to Classical violin, my other passion, if you're looking to loosen up and have fun playing along with others by ear, then fiddle may be for you!

Though my specialty is Celtic music, particularly Irish, I can help you learn the basics of any style of fiddle music that catches your interest, including Old time/ American, Bluegrass, Scottish, and more! Lessons are focused on learning songs by ear and building a solid foundation in basic instrument skills that will allow you to play with ease and style with a focus on what -you- want to learn!
