Having taught piano lessons for over 20 years, I enjoy working with everyone, beginner to advanced, young, and the young at heart. Depending on the student, I will choose from a number of different methods, (Alfred, Hanon, Bastien, Hal Leonard, and more,) to find the best match for each individual student. Are you an intermediate or advanced pianist that wants to learn how to improvise, play with a band, use a chart, and compose your own music, etc? Creative conceptual learning will help to use the skills you already have and to apply new techniques to make you a more versatile musician. It's never too late to start!

About Tiffini
I offer a fun, interactive teaching style that encompasses more than 20 years of performing and 15 years of teaching experience. As a performer I have worked as a professional singer, actor, musician, and dancer. I have always had a passion for teaching, directing, and composing. While my love for performing has lessened over the years, I have found my true calling: teaching, directing, and helping others to find their passion for music and the performing arts.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a special emphasis in music, theatre, dance, and psychology. I am a graduate candidate working on completing my thesis as my final requirement for a Masters of Arts degree in Music at San Diego State University.
Member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), California Association of Profession
al Music Teachers (CAPMT), and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).

I can help those, who are new to the instrument, to become familiar with scales, progressions, technique, reading, and musical styles. I enjoy helping students find their voices and tastes by using videos and music that inspires them. If students already have some songs that they wish to learn, I can help them achieve those goals, as well.

About Tracy
I have been playing the drum set in various bands since 2001. I have also been playing with the OKC Community Orchestra since 2009. I have played in symphonic and jazz bands and a percussion ensemble. I have taught a percussion class, private lessons, and I have been a full time music teacher in the OKC district. I have recorded in the studio also, and I enjoy doing a bit of my own production. Rocking on stage is my favorite activity! I can teach you how to be an integral part of a band and play along to your favorites. I enjoy bringing out the best in a student and teaching to his/her strengths. Let's run!

*** Lesson Details ***
I am a very easygoing and patient teacher. I fully understand that the drum set requires a high level of coordination, and I am mindful of this while working with students. I will begin with proper gr
ip and stroke technique as well as the use of a metronome. I will teach the student to read rhythms and drum set notation. I know how to isolate difficult patterns, break them down into understandable parts, and reintegrate them into a piece. I like to use the music that a student enjoys to relate to the written music. I have found YouTube to be an indispensable tool for this, and my students have responded very well. I will work on snare drum technique as well, because it is the primary voice on the set, and the touch and nuance required to play it well relate to the set as well. I will tailor my instruction to suit the student's learning style and preferences. I want to make the learning fun, so I will help the student quickly gain the basic skills to play along with their favorite bands. This promotes musicality as well as solid time. It will also aid in transcription, which will come with development and is a valuable tool. I will use this in tandem with technique-building exercises to form a well rounded musician. I believe that a student should have a familiarity with his/her instrument, so we will also go over the anatomy and tuning of the set. Above all, music should be fun!

*** Studio Equipment ***
Music room w/ drum set, hand drums, and seating for parents

*** Travel Equipment ***
I have a practice pad, snare drum, and sticks. If a student wishes to have drum set lessons in his/her home, that instrument should be there.
**Please note** I do have a drum set in my home.

*** Specialties ***
For the drum set, I am the most experienced in rock, country, and bluegrass styles. I am comfortable with both Stevens and Burton grips for mallet instruments.

Prior to my lessons with Amanda, I had zero singing experience. I had never been in any choir, never worked with any instructor, and I only really sang during long car rides or occasional karaoke nights. While I had an interest in learning how to sing, I was not sure how to begin or if voice lessons were a good idea.

Well it turns out taking lessons with Amanda was not just a good idea - it was a great idea!

I've only had several lessons thus far, and I feel like I have already learned so much. Amanda works closely with you to understand "your" voice, and what areas you need to focus on. She is encouraging and enthusiastic, but also strives to bring out the best in her students. Amanda provides very specific feedback and tailors her lesson structure to suit your needs. She also provides plenty of great voice exercises to help you build a proper foundation for learning to sing.

What surprised me the most however was how much I've been enjoying these lessons. They are genuinely fun, and it's something I've been looking forward to each week. If you have any interest in learning to sing (regardless of your skill level) - then I highly recommend taking singing lessons with Amanda.

My wife and I took 2 months of lessons from Eric and they were all great! We were both basically beginners (I had some memory from lesson that I took as a kid) and Eric helped us get started and off on the right track. He has a great/fun personality and is a great teacher. Unfortunately we were unable to keep taking lessons with him due to a conflict in scheduling. I would totally recommend him as a piano teacher though.

I teach students of all ages, starting at age 5, using several teaching methods, primarily Alfred's. Lessons are tailored to the individual. I like to talk to a student before deciding what lesson book to use, and find out their likes/dislikes. I use a teaching course, but supplement with books that the student enjoys.

About Corrin
I primarily use Alfred's Teaching Method. If a student comes to me from another teacher, I will continue to use what they are familiar with. My youngest student's enjoy the Little Mozart series. I use the Prep Course for elementary students, Premier or Basic course with late elementary learners, Late Beginner course with teenagers & adults. This is a guideline. It's always best to meet the students/parents to see what works best for them. Piano lessons are not a cookie cutter method. I tailor them for each individual's learning type & music preference.

Patience, Passion and Perseverance! These are words to live by in my studio. What started as a curiosity turned into a passion and obsession. To pass that on to someone else? It is my ultimate dream!

About Dana
It has been a dream of mine for a long time to be a full-time piano teacher. I have been playing piano since the age of five. Teaching is in my genes, both of my parents teach special education. My father is a music nerd as well! He shared his joy of music with me and I want to pay it forward.

Some of my strengths include patience, humor and compassion for others. I want to figure out what makes you tick. What do you want to learn about piano? I am always looking for new and exciting ways to teach piano. Did you know they make color by note coloring books? At the end of the day if I can share even a fraction of my love for music with you and you are able to learn something, that is what gives me true joy.

Music is very important to me. I want my students to be inspired and learn. My students have been accepted into the top conservatories and universities in the United States. My students have also won major vocal competitions as well as film auditions that include singing. The teaching styles offered in my studio include classical, jazz, musical theater and pop. My teaching philosophy is that the journey to reach the height of technique and professionalism is how the student discovers themselves and their unique voice. I provide the student with the information necessary to guide them along the way. Singing is very personal and students who learn to sing tend to become very vulnerable during the process. Therefore, I believe in creating a safe and enthusiastic environment for my students to explore their creative selves. Enabling a singer to access their inner expression allows them to grow as a singer/artist and a person.

About Nani
Nandani is a lyric coloratura mezzo-soprano of German and Indian decent, known for her passionate performances and great presence. Nandani has performed with such organizations as the Los Angeles Opera, Long Beach Opera, Malibu Coast Chamber Opera, Viklarbo Chamber Ensemble, Malibu Friends of Music, the Kairos Musical Soirees, SPaCE Salon Los Angeles, Redlands Symphony, among many others. Nandani was the first-prize winner in the 2012 Franz Liszt International Competition; and in 2014 earned two additional International Prizes from the same organization, including a special award for “Best Vocal Interpretation of a Work by Franz Liszt.” As a teacher she has taught for the Los Angeles Opera as a teaching artist and concert lecturer and for Long Beach Opera as a preconcert lecturer. Her students have been accepted into the top conservatorie

I've been teaching professionally for 15+ years. I've been playing since the age of 4 and playing professionally for 25 years. I serve as staff accompanist at the church where my husband and I serve as Worship Leaders. I teach sight reading and music theory. I do not teach to play by ear. I teach the fundamentals of music; the artistry. Music is a language all it's own. Music speaks when our words fail.

About Faithe
I'm a professional instrumentalist who plays the piano, keyboards and, most recently, the organ! Music is my passion! I've played piano since the age of 4. My husband and I are Worship Leaders at a baptist church in Star, MS. We've been married for 18 years and have 3 beautiful daughters.
I've been teaching piano since the age of 21, almost 25 years. I teach piano to students of all different ages and experience levels. I grew up playing southern gospel, but studied classical in college. I can teach students to read music and pursue piano excellence, to learn how to play contemporary music using chord sheets, or both depending on the goals and preference of the student.
I teach from a variety of curricula. Alfred's is probably the one I use the most, especially for adults. I also teach from John Thompson who seems to use more of a class
ical approach. But I also throw in other genres.
I cater each lesson tonthe students wants and likes goals. We always have a great time in our lessons.
