Cary is an incredible instructor 😊 We've been impressed with how quickly both of our boys have been able to learn and play the guitar without ever having any other previous lessons. Cary is very encouraging and patient. Both of my boys have completely different learning styles and abilities. I appreciated how Cary knew exactly how to meet each of their needs individually and help build confidence in their ability to perform and to recognize their individual strengths versus comparing their learning level. Cary has a passion for music and teaching and it clearly shows in his instruction. I've had no reservation of highly recommending him to friends and family who have also been pleased with their experience and results.

Let's work a new monologue, prepare for an audition or scan some Shakespeare!

About Natalie
Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to check out my teaching profile!

Note: I work as the program director for a park district in south Evanston and am required to have a federal background check on file. Please let me know if you would like a copy and I will happily forward it to you!

A bit about me:
I am a working Chicago actress originally from Indianapolis, IN. I graduated from Ball State University with a B.A. in Acting. For three years I lived in Los Angeles pursuing opportunities in film and television. I am a member of SAG/AFTRA and with the help of my agents and manager, I worked on many t.v. shows including Numbers, Commander and Chief and McBride (starring John Larroquette). After realizing how much I missed being on stage, I moved to New York City. I spent two years performing off Broadway before finally landing i
n Chicago to attend graduate school. In 2013, I earned my M.F.A. in Acting from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. Currently, I am the Director of New Works with The Arc Theatre . Additionally, I direct plays for other prominent theatre companies in the city. I am capable of teaching a variety of theatre skills, including classical techniques, performance of literature and speaking voice.

A bit about you:
YOU are a new actor, an experienced actor or "getting-back-into-the-swing-of-it" actor. YOU need help with an upcoming camera or theatre audition, choosing new monologues, developing a script, exploring different techniques, or understanding this fantastic business.

YOU are excited, scared and most importantly READY TO DIVE IN!

I am here for YOU!

*** Lesson Details ***
I am extremely laid back and open to trying new things. In a lesson, you can expect to bravely explore the world of acting in a safe, nurturing environment. I believe in the "YES" philosophy- anything is possible and everything is valid in developing a creative life. There are no wrong answers! Just millions of GOOD questions. Acting is DOING and through trial error, anyone with the drive and determination can be a successful performer. I will instill the confidence and skills you need to take the next step in your acting career- whatever that may be!

*** Studio Equipment ***
I have a growing library of books on acting, auditioning and play scripts. I am happy to loan you material and use any of my resources to further your learning.

*** Travel Equipment ***
We can both provide music, books and props as needed.

The warmest teacher around

Natalie helped me with monologues for audition season this year and it's made all the difference! I feel more confident in the product I'm putting out there and more comfortable in the moment of the audition. She has a unique ability to be both creatively nurturing and extremely effective. She'll always be my go to acting coach!

Very helpful

I needed help with projecting and emoting with my voice for a reality TV shoot. Natalie was very helpful in teaching techniques to connect my breath and voice, relax and eliminate tension, and thoroughly warm up. These were very helpful. I went from being anxious on camera to having fun and looking forward to more. Highly recommended!

Supportive and dynamic acting coach!

Natalie coached me on my monologue for a grad school audition, and she was wonderfully responsive. She cultivates a teaching environment of comfort and productivity right from the start with a full vocal and physical warm-up. When I began working with my prepared piece, I felt relaxed and supported. Natalie's suggestions were growth-oriented and ensured my performance communicated a meaningful journey. Her follow-up emails after each session built upon the work done in studio with reminders and actionable tactics.

About Nicholas
I am 31 years old actor-singer-writer-teacher-podcaster. I was born and raised in North Huntington, Pennsylvania. I knew at a very young age that I wanted to pursue a career in the arts. I believe that music fosters self-expression, intelligence, and creativity, and I cannot imagine a life without it.

Teaching music, acting, and singing is something that brings me great joy, I am passionately committed to my students and love the challenges and rewards that teaching has to offer!

Training and Experience:

I am a classical trained singer and musical theater actor. I studied vocal performance at Slippery Rock University with Dr. Colleen Gray. While I was at Slippery Rock I had the opportunity to perform in a variety of plays, musicals and operas.

My favorite roles include Seymour Krelbourn in Little Shop of Horrors, Cliff Brads
haw in Cabaret, and Jacques in Shakespeare's As you like it. I also had significant roles in Slippery Rock's main stage operas including King Melchior in Amahl and the night Visitors and Dr. Falked in Die Fledermaus.

I've also had the opportunity to perform in Bellini's i capuleti e i Montecchi (The Capulets and the Montagues) with the Pittsburgh Opera Chorus at the Benedum Center. After college I performed at Busch Gardens Williamsburg as a singer in their Italian shows as well as their Christmas Show.

In the past 8 years, I have performed in operas, plays and musicals regionally around the country including Florida, New Hampshire, Connecticut and New York City

Since my return to Pittsburgh, I played have played Reverend Shaw Moore in The Lamp Theater's production of Footloose. More recently, I just finished a productions of The Hunchback of Notre Dame in February and Disney's Tarzan with Pittsburgh Musical Theater.

This Summer, I will be returning to the The Lamp Theater to play Teen Angel in their production of Grease.

I taught private voice in college and at The Centerstage Academy of Performing Arts when I lived in Williamsburg. I recently moved back to Pittsburgh after living in New York City for just under three years. and I am ready to get back into private teaching!

I specialize in teaching classical voice, musical theater, audition preparation, monologue preparation, and performance preparation. I have taught students both individually and in a group setting. The ages of my students have ranged anywhere from third grade to men and women into their sixties. As someone who has been in the business for a little over six years, I am confident that I have the tools to teach and prepare any student who has the passion, commitment and work ethic that it takes to succeed.

It was my daughter's first contact with professional acting.
She has been talking about being an actress for quite a while now, so we decided to let her take a few lessons to see if she likes it.
Ollie was really comprehensive of our needs and made us see the big picture of that world... just what we needed, to start walking into that direction on the right path.
My daughter had a wonderful time with Ollie.

I booked 4 acting sessions with Ms. Ollie for my daughter. Ms. Ollie did a phenomenal job starting from scratch, coaching my daughter for her up coming audition. My daughter had no acting experience, she was shy, and soft spoken but in just 4 short days, Ms. Ollie turned her into a confident, outspoken young actress. My daughter nailed her audition thanks to Ollie!! I will highly recommend her as your acting coach.

We will learn to break down copy, scripts and everything in between. We will go beat by beat and I will take you through the choices I would make, versus the ones you're making. Sometimes meeting in the middle is best. I can direct you on your specific choices and help you get the most out of the copy/script we are currently working on. This will help you be able to do this yourself eventually and start booking roles more frequently.

About Rachel
Hey all!
I am a graduate (with a B.F.A in Theater) of Florida State University and have been working/teaching out in LA for the past ten years. I have been working in commercial casting since I 2002, and have taught many students in the capacity. I have family in the industry including an Emmy winning actor! I have experience in teaching for film, stage, and commercials. I have coached many people to getting the part they need, and getting them ready for any audition. I also have potential scripts and copy that was can use in my database, for practice purpose.

I have been a session director for many commercial sessions, and would also be available to shoot an audition we had worked on! Or heck, even one we haven't! I can come to you, we can rent a studio, do video lessons or even you can come to me!
