Pamela was very patient with my young daughter. She taught her the beginning stages of reading music and her voice became clearer and louder because of the confidence she gained during her sessions. I would recommend Pamela as a singing instructor for any age but she was so patient and encouraging for my young daughter. We loved it.

In my own music career, I’ve worked comprehensively in the industry as a songwriter, performer and recording artist. I’ve released two albums of my original music, and have written, recorded, and arranged for numerous independent and label-signed acts throughout the US. I’ve toured nationally, appearing with grammy nominated and award winning artists, while working regularly performing at weddings, corporate events, and restaurants.
My students range from hobbyist musicians to budding professionals. Many are involved in music additionally through school and community, and most audition and perform on a regular basis. Past students have gone on to study music in college and perform at the professional level, releasing their own albums, and appearing as contestants on competitive singing shows. I forge long-lasting relationships with my students, and have worked with all of my current students for years.
I can assist in in preparation for college auditions, state and regional competitions, and musical theater auditions (as well as provide accompaniment for any of these situations).
Additionally, I am available to provide tutoring for AP music theory, placement, and PRAXIS exams.

Olivia also auditioned for the Paper Mill Playhouse Summer Conservatory and was accepted for their August Intensive program. I have no doubt that it was Steven's teaching that helped her with her audition that gained her acceptance.
Olivia is now 12 and as a young person, needs to learn how to interpret a song so that she can perform it well. Steven takes the time to teach the MEANING of the words and explains the story that is trying to be told. This was very important for Olivia to learn.
I highly recommend working with Steven. He is a fabulous teacher with a lot of knowledge and insight.

What Are the Best Songs to Sing to Show Off Your Vocal Range?
Many singing teachers agree that one of the most alarming things today is tuning in to television talent competitions and seeing nine-year-olds singing opera. Not only are the arias generally age-inappropriate, but they make vocal demands on the singer that often requires a training period longer than the child has been alive! Less publicly, but equally common, are singers who wrong-foot themselves with inappropriate repertoire at local singing competitions and music festivals. They might pick … Read More
