I have been a music teacher for over 20 years and teach students from age 5 and up for both piano and voice. I am a certified ABRSM instructor and I have prepared many students for ABRSM exams both Practical and Theory through Level 8 in both singing and piano performance. I have also prepared many students for the NFMC Annual Festivals. Many of my students have become performing artists, won talent shows, received music awards with distinction, performed in Broadway shows and other plays internationally, and many were awarded college scholarships for music. I’d like to believe I inspire a love for music through my own passion for it. Taking lessons should be fun but we must also agree that it takes hard work and dedication to become a talented musician.

Alla’s personality helps to feel warm and want to learn more. She brings fun to the virtual learning and continues to teach all important things for my 8 year old. My daughter is learning more now than she did in person with a group! I highly recommend Alla for your next virtual music learning experience . It is very important to have balanced the lesson to cover notes , theory , and technical and I feel Alla provides that every time for my child at each lesson with so much fun, and ease!

Is it hard to learn a musical instrument? That’s usually the first question
people ask. My answer? Not at all! I teach music in three
easy steps: Speak, Read, Write. "Speaking" music simply means learning to
listen and play your instrument. Reading and Writing are what allow you to
pick up your favorite piece of music and learn it on your own, just like
reading a book. Whether you want to play in a concert hall or in your living
room, I will give you the knowledge and technique to help you make
music a part of your life.

Classical Piano normally leads to other styles of piano playing, which I encourage. However, if you want to focus only on classical piano technique, I can take you up to early advanced/late intermediate studies (Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, DeBussy, Mozart, etc.).
Please see "Piano" in my Subjects list for more information.

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

One of his most outstanding teaching features is that he has an entirely unique approach to ear training (playing by ear). He creates customized playing-by-ear, step-by-step, walk-through recordings--which he professionally produces in his home studio.
These recordings break down a piece in such a way which allows a student to learn how to recognize intervals, chords, chord inversions, melodic lines, and more.
I cannot emphasize enough the (often under-appreciated) value of such ear training for students at all levels."
