I served as the Writing Specialist for the Pennsylvania's Department of Education and also was a founding member of the Pennsylvania Writing Project. My work on my Ph.D. took me to understanding composition at it's most basic level, and I studied carefully the advent of writing as a science and as a fundamental form of expression. My thesis centered around the development of grammars and the development of the paragraph. I've received many awards, positions, and commendations for my expertise and success of teaching writing at all levels.
