I disagree with whoever is commenting below me. Miss. Maria was having difficulties with the server that day (June 24th/June 25th) so she sent out an e-mail to let us know that and then had it back up and running. The website is totally available now and she replies to lesson scheduling stuff super quick

Miss. Maria is really patient and kind teacher. Lessons with her are very fun and she is also very bubbly. She is also very knowledgeable

I had only one singing class with Maria, and it seemed just fine to me but then she didn't upload as agreed the material I was supposed to practice during the week so when we met again she wanted to give me the same class while we agreed on material to practice to move on... After that I tried to get in touch to change the time of a class and she never got back to me. She seems very busy, can never answer the phone and hardly answers emails, am not feeling am getting any personal attention. Am switching to another more available teacher.

I have been literally to 4 youtube teachers and though I have nothing bad to say about any of them, i know that I need a long term teacher that I can see myself growing with as a singer. Our personalities just meshed. She knows how to make one feel comfortable. She is very encouraging to students with zero self confidence like me. I think I have found the teacher I’ve been looking for in Elena! i’m excited to see what she can do to transform my voice. Her resume as well as her reviews( students spoke highly of her character) are what stood out for me out of thousands of teachers online! It is also important that I love to listen to my teacher’s voice and i love her voice😊

About Cynthia
I am a professional singer. Although I have studied the bel canto technique in my university studies, I have taught various genres using varied techniques to suit the student. I have performed in operas, classical song recitals in different languages, jazz, pop, and musical theater. I'm currently finishing my doctoral document to complete my doctor of musical arts degree in voice. I have sung on many stages in the country, Mexico and Spain as an opera singer, vocal soloist and as a chamber singer. Hola and welcome!
Spanish won’t be any hard for you!
I will give you easy formulas for complex sentences, and if you are a visual learner, you will enjoy the multimedia practices, if learn better from hearing, I created a very fun system that matches words that you know in English with words in Spanish!

I’m a Spanish native speaker with ten years of experience as a teacher for children from four years old and up, and a tutor for adults and young adults.

I review and improve my curriculum once a month, and keep well informed of what the Real Academy for Spanish language accepts and rules.

I’m a price winner writer and poet, as well. If you already know Spanish, let’s bring out that writer living in you!

I look forward to teaming up with you,

Mariana

About Mariana
When I was growing up, we spoke English and Spanish at home.

I moved to Pennsylvania in 2010, and I started to teach Spanish in a close-by library to adults who were so engaged, that I felt motivated to create a more natural plan to help them remember the Spanish words with associations in English. In the same year, I started teaching Spanish at Lango to kids between two and six years old; I consistently used songs and puppets to reinforce my class success. I worked there for one year and two months before the Lango office moved to New York.
But my library group was growing larger.

I want to be part of my students footprint, I want them to see in knowledge the way to a good and productive life, but also to inspire in them the desire to teach others in any field where they apply their capacities.

I’m always available whenever a student
or parent needs talking to me, and I would like to team up with the formers to improve my students’ learning experience. Please feel free to reach to me at any time.

Interesting facts
I wrote for a Mexican national newspaper from 2005-2016.
In 2006 I won the poetry prize Rosario Muñoz.
I research the linguistic neural connections where language lives in our brain.

I thank you for stopping by.
I look forward to teaming up with you,

Mariana
