I had my doubts at first of taking a class online, because I am not an easy student, my body awareness is not very good, but Corbin is such a great teacher and he knows very well what he is doing, so I was pleasantly surprised with the results. He is patient, encouraging and to the point. Highly recommended.

Let's work a new monologue, prepare for an audition or scan some Shakespeare!

About Natalie
Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to check out my teaching profile!

Note: I work as the program director for a park district in south Evanston and am required to have a federal background check on file. Please let me know if you would like a copy and I will happily forward it to you!

A bit about me:
I am a working Chicago actress originally from Indianapolis, IN. I graduated from Ball State University with a B.A. in Acting. For three years I lived in Los Angeles pursuing opportunities in film and television. I am a member of SAG/AFTRA and with the help of my agents and manager, I worked on many t.v. shows including Numbers, Commander and Chief and McBride (starring John Larroquette). After realizing how much I missed being on stage, I moved to New York City. I spent two years performing off Broadway before finally landing i
n Chicago to attend graduate school. In 2013, I earned my M.F.A. in Acting from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. Currently, I am the Director of New Works with The Arc Theatre . Additionally, I direct plays for other prominent theatre companies in the city. I am capable of teaching a variety of theatre skills, including classical techniques, performance of literature and speaking voice.

A bit about you:
YOU are a new actor, an experienced actor or "getting-back-into-the-swing-of-it" actor. YOU need help with an upcoming camera or theatre audition, choosing new monologues, developing a script, exploring different techniques, or understanding this fantastic business.

YOU are excited, scared and most importantly READY TO DIVE IN!

I am here for YOU!

*** Lesson Details ***
I am extremely laid back and open to trying new things. In a lesson, you can expect to bravely explore the world of acting in a safe, nurturing environment. I believe in the "YES" philosophy- anything is possible and everything is valid in developing a creative life. There are no wrong answers! Just millions of GOOD questions. Acting is DOING and through trial error, anyone with the drive and determination can be a successful performer. I will instill the confidence and skills you need to take the next step in your acting career- whatever that may be!

*** Studio Equipment ***
I have a growing library of books on acting, auditioning and play scripts. I am happy to loan you material and use any of my resources to further your learning.

The warmest teacher around

Natalie helped me with monologues for audition season this year and it's made all the difference! I feel more confident in the product I'm putting out there and more comfortable in the moment of the audition. She has a unique ability to be both creatively nurturing and extremely effective. She'll always be my go to acting coach!

Very helpful

I needed help with projecting and emoting with my voice for a reality TV shoot. Natalie was very helpful in teaching techniques to connect my breath and voice, relax and eliminate tension, and thoroughly warm up. These were very helpful. I went from being anxious on camera to having fun and looking forward to more. Highly recommended!

Supportive and dynamic acting coach!

Natalie coached me on my monologue for a grad school audition, and she was wonderfully responsive. She cultivates a teaching environment of comfort and productivity right from the start with a full vocal and physical warm-up. When I began working with my prepared piece, I felt relaxed and supported. Natalie's suggestions were growth-oriented and ensured my performance communicated a meaningful journey. Her follow-up emails after each session built upon the work done in studio with reminders and actionable tactics.

Approaching Shakespeare's text from an actor's point of view is the best way to understand and engage with the vitality of Shakespeare's language. Shakespeare embedded clues for his actors to unlock the meaning and emotion within the words. By learning a few fundamentals, students will physically connect with Shakespeare's text and be able to make strong character choices. Whether you are a student studying Shakespeare as literature, an actor wishing to work on classical texts, or a litigator or executive wishing to improve your public rhetoric, studying Shakespeare in performance is incredibly valuable.

About Michael
Michael L has been a working actor in Theatre, Film and Television since 1998. Since graduating cum laude from George Washington University he has dedicated himself to teaching and practicing the craft of acting. Michael was a classical acting fellow at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington,DC under the artistic direction of Michael Kahn. There he honed his classical acting skills and earned his equity card later becoming an affiliated teaching artist with the theatre. He has performed there as well as many of the country's finest regional theaters including: The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Arena Stage, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Geva Theatre Center, Washington Shakespeare Company and most recently Actor's Playhouse in Coral Gables. Michael has appeared on television in numerous commercials and the Fox Network's dr
ama "Past Life" and has acted in many independent films. While in DC he was the Drama teacher at Fillmore Arts Center, a public magnet school for the performing arts, teaching children from Kindergarten to 8th grade. Michael is currently acting in Nickelodeon's new series "I Am Frankie" debuting this fall. He enjoys teaching both adults and young people as well as caring for his own spirited child.

I have experience as a union actress, as a film director, producer and I have done over 10 casting sessions so I know an actor's strengths and weaknesses and how they should improve, prepare for a role, work on an actor's palate (voice and body), can teach audition techiniques, building a character, scene study, improvisation etc.

I teach a bit from all acting methodologies - Stanislavsky, Lee Strasberg, Meisner, Uta Hagen, Stella Adler, etc. My teaching style is more eclectic. I also emphasize Shakespeare and classical theatre training or plays. I train actors to use their imaginations and instincts. Essentially, I help actors play and have fun. A play is called a play because you "play"!

I am also a black martial artist and can teach actors combat and basic fight scenes for film. I produce my own action film series so I have experience with how an actor should prepare for a fight scene.

About Sangini
I have a Master's degree (Speech Communications and Drama) from Texas State University and a Bachelor's degree from University of Texas at Austin (History, Mathematics). I am a published children's book author and I write articles for magazines. I write movie scripts too.

I am a film producer, director, actress, writer, black belt martial artist. I have directed many actors in 10 films, had over 10 casting sessions with actors auditioning, performed with many actors in film and theatre and am a union actress.

"Miss Patty" teaches my daughter Shakira at a CPS school. I hired her for 5 private lessons cuz my daughter was auditioning for a part. Pat's chill lady, cool around kids and knows her thing. Shakira loves it and they have a bond. I would say it was a very good experience and if the wants to keep doing acting I will send her back her for my privates cuz it's easier than a room filled with others. I like the personal attention

Great lady, really funny and terrific personality. Her instruction was no nonsense. After chatting a few minutes with her, we got right to work on the basics. I learned so much about how unprepared I was and she really help me gain my courage. I moved from Portland a few years ago and I'm still learning the city and about some of it's artists. I did want to book last minute with Pat but she wants a week out appt. and on one occasion she could not meet up with me for a lesson. Hope to see her again however; really talented woman.

A couple years ago my son was cast as the Grinch in a school production. I found her thru Facebook. She gave him 2 lessons and then spent time with him on the phone. Mark is a great kid but he has autism so it can be a challenge. Patricia had experience working with special needs students and I must say she was impressive. Marky took to her right away, she didn't talk down to him, but was a cool friend as well as a teacher. She brought him out of that shell and gave him a lot of attention, was patient and understanding with him. I was proud when he did his thing at school. Highly recommend her especially good with kids. My only issue was scheduling. For the first lesson I was hoping she could come to us and we lived too far then I did have to wait a week or so to book another time but we did get in a couple lessons in time for his show.

Hi! I am a theatre director and teaching artist from Washington, DC. I have worked in theatre education for the past ten years and I am currently pursing my MA in Theatre Education at Emerson College. I believe that theatre has the ability to change lives and love getting the opportunity to work a variety of experience levels.
In DC I directed high school and middle school actors and received many accolades along the way! You can find an interview with Tams Witmark about one of my favorite productions of HAIR.

I have taught for over seven years at one of DCs leading theatre educational institutes, The Theatre Lab School of the Dramatic Arts. I am also trained in their well renowned Life Stories Program. I excel in monologue work and audition preparation.
I have worked with students to prepare for college auditions as well. I can

My goal is to help you feel confident with your abilities and make audition day less stressful. Past students attend Point Park University, AMDA, Harvard, Ithaca and Berkeley. I will help you search for the perfect monologue for you.

With younger students we can focus on creative play by using our imaginations to create stories and working on improvisational skills. Theatre is a great tool to help build confidence and work on social skills as well as public speaking. I can even help your younger student with an upcoming audition!

I hope to have the chance to work with you!
