Laura has been teaching tap dance (and other forms of dance) for over 30 years. She owned 2 dance studios in Southern California, which still are in existence today. Willing to travel some distances. Will teach in your home, at a dance studio, or online. (Discount for online / virtual classes). Laura will also send you tutorial videos via text or email, which will recap what your learned in class so that you can practice a lot more once your class is over. Also, she is able to offer choreography dances for performance, if you are interested. Contact her for more details! :)

I’m very passionate about teaching and dancing and I make sure that everyone’s dance journey is filled with fun, friendship, understanding.
My students always leave with a smile, saying they feel more motivated and energized after the lesson. I adjust to their learning style, keep instructions clear, simple and do my best to make them feel free to express themselves; to let them know mistakes are part of the learning process and to move towards their specific goals with every session.

Kyzomba is a sensual dance that comes from Angola It is a derivative of semba, with a mix of Kilapanda and Angolan Merengue with some tango steps. The songs are generally in Portuguese. The word kizomba means: celebration, friendly gathering, party This young style is originated from Africa.

Students can expect to reach all of their goals and much more! Classes are always tailored to the individual receiving instruction. I go at your pace and I challenge you as much as you need to be challenged in order to promote the fastest growth possible.

My lessons focus on connecting with your partner and being in tune with his or her movements. A proper connection makes it easy to quickly learn new steps, and to move together as naturally as possible.

For online/video lessons: You might think a partner dance would be hard to learn online; to learn to lead or follow well, it's important to have tactile feedback in order to feel the relationship between your movement and the results from your partner, and vice versa.
