I want to help you to become a better artist and have fun while you’re doing it! My style of teaching is to tell you about powerful ways to approach your drawings that will boost your technical ability as fast as possible. In other words, I’m going to help you to make your art look like the thing you’re drawing. But I won’t rush you through it! We’ll take as long as you need to get a good understanding of the most important aspects of the lesson. We can focus on what you are most interested in learning about. Want to learn how to draw faces better? Or maybe improve your proportions for drawing a full body person? Pets, landscapes, still life, it’s your choice because I work for you. Each of these are unique subjects, but there are certain fundamentals that apply to all of them which I will help you with to give your drawings more of a “pop out” look! Some of those things are learning to see values (light and dark), negative space, and how angles and relationships of different elements

About Anthony

I want to help you make huge leaps in your skills to become a better artist than you even thought was possible! Whatever you want to create, you can do it! Private lessons can save a lot of time and keep you on the right path for your personal individual needs, where ever you are on your way to be

Do you want to learn to draw your favorite characters, your pets, friends and family members? Or maybe you want to draw fantastical creatures with magical powers? Maybe you’re a medical student interested in drawing anatomy to help you study? Perhaps, you’re more interested in making intense abstract emotional drawings with deep philosophical meaning? Or, maybe you just want to learn to draw eyes and hands better? Whatever your area of focus or skill level, I will help you to sharpen your observational skills, expand your understanding of important art principles, become comfortable with a variety of drawing media, and teach you to translate your ideas onto the page to bring them to life. I believe art is an invaluable form of expression meant to bring the student peace, joy and a broadly applicable set of skills. My lessons are customized to the needs and goals of each individual student with subjects ranging from life art, to digital illustration, to mixed media drawing, and much ...

I decided to take painting lessons from Morgan because while I have experience in drawing, I was a complete beginner when it comes to painting. Now after just a couple months of biweekly lessons, I feel like I have a good grasp on the fundamentals of oil painting. I've already painted several pieces that I really like. Morgan has been very supportive and knowledgeable the whole way through. I'm very glad I decided to take lessons from her.

"I held a virtual team painting event and invited Sharon to be our tutor. My team has a tight budget, but Sharon managed to fit the painting kit under the budget & the paint was high quality! She also made a video helping us prepare for the painting event: how to stain the palette, how to wash the brushes and how to coat the canvas.

In the painting event, we had a large group (~15 people), so it’s very difficult to coordinate. People had different questions every 5 mins, or people asked the same questions, or you had to wait for other people. Sharon was very patient to answer everyone’s questions. We even went overtime but Sharon was very nice that she continued finishing the painting with us.

All my teammates produced very nice paintings! Majority of them have never painted before, but they created beautiful paintings under Sharon’s guidance. Thank you Sharon!"

"I've taken private lessons in the past, some were good, some not so good. I've always felt that other instructors followed a very generic blueprint during their private lessons. With Roya, I've never felt that way. The lessons are designed in a way that I felt as if I'm progressing as a artist. Do yourself a favor, and sign up. You will not regret it. :)"

What is the Best Lighting for Photography?
