I have a 100% rate of getting my students into their school of choice as of yet. Although I don't guarantee it, I will work relentlessly to make sure you are well prepared though. I will also lend you PDFs of books to help you save a buck.
About Scott
I have been playing drums and percussion since the ripe old age of 9, in 4th grade. Originally wanting to play the clarinet, my music teacher thought my sense of rhythm was too good to waste and placed me in the drum section. I was the only kid who didn't want to play drums. Over twenty years later

I have been teaching for about 8 years with students ranging from beginner to advanced. All ages are welcome! I also welcome all different styles of music from rock, to jazz, and even classical. Each lesson is catered specifically to the student. I want each student to be able to reach their own specific goals, while having the time of their life!
About Sean
Drummer Sean C., 31, started playing at age 7 when he began studying with Mark Foster, a local free-lance percussionist in the Denver area. After high school he enrolled at the Colburn Conservatory in LA, where he studied with Jack van Geem, former Principal Percussionist of the San Francisco Sympho

Sean really knows percussion. I've witnessed this both during lessons and when my family watched him perform with the Lone Tree Symphony. Sean is wonderful with kids. Although my son has attention issues, Sean is extremely patient, and he is able to efficiently redirect and focus my son. With Sean, music lessons are enjoyable. He has taken the time to get to know my son and how my son learns. I feel like the lessons are tailored extremely well for my child's abilities. Best of all, Sean is just a wonderful person. He's easy to talk to and has a great sense of humor. My son looks forward to his lessons with Sean each week. You won't find a better percussion instructor!

My experience as a performer and teacher spans over 25 years of just about every musical style. I believe in creating an environment that is focused on playing music well and where the student can have fun while gaining confidence. It is important to develop functional musicians with good technique, time, and listening skills. We will cover all styles of music that use congas/bongos from Latin music to Afro-Cuban as well as rock/pop, including jazz, and others styles as desired.
About Mariano
My experience as a performer and teacher ranges from early music to today's rock and pop, including various percussion instruments from around the world. When studying for my bachelors and masters degrees in music, I did course work in music recording, jazz studies, and music history. In addition, I

I am thrilled to hear that you or your kid is ready to start taking drum lessons! I have been teaching drum set and percussion for eleven years, and last year finished my master's in percussion performance at CU, after a music education degree in Michigan.
I start students off with "repeat after me" style exercises to develop technique, coordination, and musical tone on the instruments. Then, we can dig into playing the music (s)he loves! I'm always curious to hear if there is a certain band or drummer my student admires?
About Stephen
Hey drummers! I am a working drummer and percussionist in all major styles, from blues, funk, and jazz to classical and marching band. In my off time, I enjoy playing in the mountains with my girlfriend and our cat.

Give anyone a drum and they will instantly know what to do. Drums are meant to be hit, and for those who love to hit things and make loud noises. Bongo drum lessons are an easy way to introduce students to the world of drumming, rhythm and music.
The goal is listening for cues, hearing patterns and feeling rhythm and beat. Ideally, each student has their own drum. Begin with a simple repeat and answer pattern. You hit the drum two times, they repeat. Gradually add to the complexity of the patterns, so they must listen intently. Add some simple rhythms, such as 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1, with a strong emphasis on the 1.
About Murray
I received my B.S. & Music Degree with concentration in instrumentalists from Morgan State University. I’v been playing drums since the age of three and now been teaching for over 17 years. In 2016, I was accepted as a member of the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM). I am very well r
