I specialize in providing a great foundation for learning the instrument. Too many students, new to the guitar, get frustrated and quit after just a few lessons, because it falls short of their expectations and they find they are not progressing. I make certain to keep the enthusiasm intact through the entire learning process by making sure the student is actually playing the instrument. I like to think of my method as "Fast Track to Playing Guitar"; my goal is to keep the student's interest in the instrument at a sustained level while they are grasping the fundamentals. Because I also teach Voice, and work professionally accompanying myself on the guitar, I can combine these attributes for my students, should they desire to sing and play. I have uncovered many a student who never fashioned themselves as a vocalist, begin singing and playing with astounding results. Just another option made available to my students.... My success rate of having my students continue with the guitar ...

About Glenn

I have been active in the entertainment industry since the age of 12, when I gave my first professional performance. Prior to that I was already being introduced to music with years of guitar, and then vocal instruction. I do not remember a time of my life when I was not singing somewhere; in the ho

Austin has been great teaching my 8 year old ukulele. He is patient with the struggles of a young beginner. He takes a nice pace without rushing, but also keeps my kid focused, which is no easy task. Learning an instrument over video, rather than in person, is an extra challenge, but Austin is good at observing, demonstrating, and talking through hand positioning and other nuances despite being over a screen. I also appreciate the lesson notes, and links to materials!

What makes lessons with Jake fun is that he is very approachable and friendly. Jake has experience teaching kids in the classroom and also online- he is good at both! You can expect to have some fun while gaining a solid foundation in the basics and making progress towards your goals.

Jake was born near Seattle, WA, and was always a natural when it came to music. He taught himself how to drum at an early age, he started composing original music. Motivated by curiosity and passion, he also taught himself how to play guitar and ukulele in college, as well as the art of mixing and music production.

His interest in music took him to the quaint town of Bellingham, WA, where he combined the studies of music theory, recording, and creative writing, and he majored in Songwriting at Western Washington University.

Around this time, Jake began playing in bands and playing gigs locally. Local gigs led to regional tours, which in turn paved the way for national tours with the bands ...

We start with the music that excites you. We learn to play it like a pro, then take it apart and study it from top to bottom.
You use some of what you learn and improvise or compose your own music. We record everything so you can share it with friends or reflect on it later. One song at a time, you master the guitar, learn how music works, and become capable of learning or creating any music you want to hear.

Sound like a lot? I'm here to guide you every step of the way- I make recommendations and design exercises for each student to help you bridge the gap between the music you want to make and your current skillset. Shoot me a message and we can get started!

About Ethan

My musical life started at the piano when I was four. I've spent the last five years helping students understand the sounds that speak to them and bring them into their own music-making. I spent my early years playing piano, then picked up the saxophone, which took me to Berklee College of Music,

I have studied saxophone, jazz piano/theory, and songwriting with Ethan for over 2 years, and he is the best music instructor I've ever had. He cares so much about his students and helps us thrive. Not only is Ethan my teacher, he is a friend and a mentor.

I first met Ethan through my school's jazz combo program, and my interest in music immediately grew in the presence of his friendly persona. Ethan organized life changing jam sessions and master classes that I will remember forever. His teaching approach is project based which gives his students something to walk away with. With his guidance, I have become a stronger musician and a wiser person. Thanks Ethan!

"Mr. Aragon has continually shown me his love for music through his teaching. As an instructor, he paid close attention to my technique when playing the piano, guitar, or flute, and helped me improve it. Through the years, he has strongly influenced my love for music, and I continue to use what he has taught me when playing instruments and music outside the classroom. Overall, Mr. Aragon is a great, professional instructor who is passionate about teaching students music through music theory and his love of rock n roll and classical music."

"I’ve done both in-home & remote lessons with Chris. Chris is a really great teacher, with a deep knowledge of music theory and technique, but also the ability to adjust that to whatever level you’re coming in at. I was a near complete beginner with a lot of anxiety about playing in front of other people when we started and Chris was able to work through that with me with a lot of humor and kindness. His agenda is to work with his students on songs they are interested in learning, and along the way weave in lessons on how notes and chords work, which I’ve really enjoyed. He also teaches bass guitar to my teenage daughter, who really enjoys her lessons and has improved greatly since they began. I highly recommend Chris."

"Kevin is an excellent instructor. He is providing lessons to myself and my two kids (11 & 13). We are enjoying playing together. Kevin had us playing recognizable songs in the first couple lessons. He is great about integrating what you want to play, adding some music theory and keeping us on task to practice efficiently. Not to mention he is just a good guy... and very dependable!"

"David is unlike any guitar teacher I have worked with. He pays close attention to details like finger placement or guitar hold and listens carefully to correct any bad habits, posture or form. Sometimes you are used to playing a certain way and don't notice some bad form or habits and he's able to diagnose sound issues. David is also great at being encouraging and suggesting ways of playing that makes sense for each song. He customizes the lesson so that you feel good about playing. He makes playing really fun and what seemed hard before, he helps to make it easy. He brings helps you feel like a rockstar after a few lessons. I highly recommend David!"

"I have been learning guitar with Paul for about 6 months now. I really like that Paul is open to teaching any type of music and customizing his lessons to the music I like. Paul is really a friendly and down-to-earth guy who you can tell really enjoys teaching. Paul recommends teaching some theory as well as songs, and he makes theory learning interesting and fun. For someone who's never picked up a guitar before I feel he's building a great foundation for years of enjoyment."

Lessons are definitely much more expensive than when I was a kid, but I'm going to keep with it because Grant's instruction is worth it."
