I have been an active performing musician in Pittsburgh for over ten years now. I am extremely versatile and have played in many varying styles of bands. I am not strict on a specific way to learn the different aspects of playing the guitar. There are many ways to approach the proper way to play whatever songs or styles you gravitate towards. I am well versed in blues, rock, metal, jazz, country, and folk styles. I am currently studying music composition at University of Pittsburgh, while at the same time playing in an original Punk/Metal band and the Pitt small Jazz ensemble. Whatever it is you are trying to learn on the guitar I can provide with the proper information and explanations to help you get there.

I am a professional jazz guitarist with over 10 years of playing experience in almost every musical situation and 5 years of teaching experience in any and all styles and genres. Whether you play acoustic, electric, or classical, I can cater to your every need as a student and as a player. I teach out of my private studio in Manhattan and I can also travel to you if needed.

I'm originally from Los angels California, I grew up outside of Hollywood and grew up like all of us being a fan first. I grew up playing in bands of all sorts and became a guitar tech and teacher soon after. I throughly enjoy passing down next generations with knowledge acquired throughout my years of playing, building and teaching.

I also teach songwriting skills, good practice habits, and stage presence/performance tips, the necessary skills required to be an original performing artist that I developed with my own experience pursuing a music career

I have been playing, teaching and performing for over 20 years and am currently a professional touring musician. I learned from some of the best instructors while at Berklee and have developed a very unique way of teaching. Instead of learning right out of a book, I teach you real world applications that you can take directly from your lesson to the stage (or your practice room). I feel that music should be, above all else, fun! It is it's own reward and can be enjoyed for a lifetime, no matter when you begin. I approach every student individually, in order to assess a lesson plan that not only educates, but inspires them to excel. I have been a musician my whole life and have extensive experience in all aspects of musical composition and production. My lessons go beyond simply learning an instrument. They expose the students to the entire world of music through performance, compositional and proper production and recording techniques, setting the stage for a life-long passion, or even career!

Guitar lessons with me are unique because although I am young, I am a very experienced teacher already. I started learning guitar at 10 years old. By the time I was 16 I was gigging and teaching kids in my neighborhood and any Craigslist clients I could find. At 18, I took a 1.5 year program at the Los Angeles College of Music, where I graduated with an AA in guitar performance. Since then I have worked as a professional musician, and also as a teacher /consultant with Adopt the Arts, a non profit started by Matt Sorum (drummer of Guns N Roses, Hollywood Vampires) and director Abby Berman. In my time at Adopt the Arts I have amassed over 4000 teaching hours of teaching kids ages 4-13, so I am very experienced with kids and get along with them great since. I have also been giving other private lessons to people of all ages since 2011. I have taught lessons for 10+ years, 4 of those for credit at a university. I can help you with any style of guitar playing you would like to improve on. I build my lessons around what the student wants to learn, some examples of what we might cover are theory, ear training, composition, improvisation, technique and general musicianship.
