About Jason
TakeLessons.com Instructor since 2005, Jason M. is now available for online lessons worldwide featuring multiple-camera angles and a share screen experience leaving no stone un-turned!

Jason has been playing guitar for over 15 years and teaching music since 1996. Although trained in standard teaching methods, he has developed his own method of teaching to positively enhance the student€™s strength, dexterity, ear-training, memorization and techniques. His goal as a teacher is specifically designed to help you achieve your goals as an artist and a musician.

This year Jason was also the Music Director at the National Guitar Workshop Day Jams Rock Music Day Camp where students ages 7-15 came out to form bands, record original material and master their craft. He also taught beginning to advanced guitar/ vocals/ performance and songwri
ting as hosted a recording clinic at the end of each day.

Jason has host student showcases/charity benefits where his students were able to get on stage and show off their new talent and perform with other musicians. It wasn't mandatory though, if you were just looking to come out and support there was no pressure other than to come out and have fun.

Jason has been transcribing for guitar and bass since the age of 18 and since then has become a master of the craft including both 5 line staff and tablature, hand-crafted exercises and deconstructions to better enhance the students learning. Artists and genres that Jason has experience with range from Classic Rock, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Guns N' Roses, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Robert Johnson, Pierce the Veil, Paramore, All Time Low, Demi Lava to, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Pantera, Avenged Sevenfold, The White Stripes, Green Day, Old Crow Medicine Show, Taylor Swift, Mumford and Sons, Bruno Mars, Rob Zombie, John 5, Audioslave, Rage Against the Machine, Van Morrison, the Beatles, AC/DC, ZZ-Top, Bullet For My Valentine, All That Remains, Ozzy, Black Label Society, Sublime, Aerosmith, At the Drive In, Type O Negative, the Black Keys, the Pixies, the Toadies, Black Sabbath, Jason Mraz, Lady GaGa, John Mayer and Journey.

Jason attended the University of Alaska, Anchorage where his degree is in Music and Business. He is constantly continuing his education with music theory courses as well as private guitar instruction. He attends guitar workshops and seminars by artists such as John5 and Kerry King who are known as some of the worlds finest guitar players. He reviews every day from a wide range of over 1000 sources working to become a better musician and instructor.

Another nice feature that you might enjoy from one on one sessions with Jason is learning the ability to craft and record your own songs using state of the art technology that caters to your own unique personality. There are no limits!

Jason teaches all experience levels from beginner to intermediate and advanced as well as artists that are signed to labels.

Local news outlet Fox 5 did a segment with one of his students who overcame issues with ADD and depression as a result of taking guitar lessons.

His students advance quickly, some have released albums, been in Guitar World Magazine as well as its online companion and won awards for their music websites.

We feel that we totally lucked out with finding Jason who is a complete gem! He showed up on time and quickly inspired my son with the drawing lessons by having him draw Superheroes! So my son is having a great time with Jason who has a great way of giving feedback and steering Cody using a balance of instructions and positive feedback. Cody is definitely enjoying his lessons and I am seeing real progress. I feel like I did the right thing investing in these lessons and giving Cody a great summer with a wonderful instructor. I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you Jason for being so great at what you do!

About April
Online volleyball lessons are an excellent way for young middle school and high school volleyball players to quickly improve their individual skills through a private coaching experience.

These lessons are conducted by me, a former elite pro indoor and beach volleyball player and USA Volleyball High Performance instructor April C on a weekly basis.
Why Take Volleyball Lessons with me, Coach April?

Volleyball is composed of six individual skills.
-setting
-blocking
-serving
-spiking
-defense
-passing
When a player has a problem, I break down the skill into its multiple upper and lower body performing parts.

Then I focus on building, strengthening or correcting the body parts that perform specific aspects of the specific skill.

That's why I am successful.
Because I break down the multiple parts of each skill...a
nd then, body part by body part, focus and apply exercises that
-build strength strength
-increases foot speed
-increase body and muscle control in low defensive positions
-build stamina and conditioning
-increase arm swing rotation speed
-improve spike approach foot speed
-improve serving technique
-improve blocking and swing blocking footwork along the net
to each particular body part that has to perform that skill.

That's what sets me apart.

Volleyball lessons are tailored to help
-identify weaknesses, then strengthen them.
-to breakdown, then build up proper performance skills, in order to enhance the use of the correct technique of each of the six basic skills
-to create and enforce muscle memory in order to re-program and correct bad habits
-with the ultimate goal of helping players visualize, develop and identify realistic volleyball playing goals
-increase the workload and stress load within a positive learning environment so players can deal comfortably with stressful situations in game environments

My mission is for each privately trained player to
-assist and support players in developing confidence in playing their specific position on the court, while developing a college prep mentality
-teach players how to work hard and think fast under/in stressful game like situations
-provide a confidence building but challenging environment where players appreciate hard work and discipline and appreciate seeing their own improvement

Strongly recommend any parent in the Las Vegas area to seek out Coach April if your child desires to learn the game of volleyball. By far, she’s the best inspiring and developmental Coach our daughter has had within the last four years. Since attending boot camps, private training sessions, and clinics led by Coach April in the last couple of years, we’ve personally witnessed our daughter’s growth and development improve tremendously. Coach April not only provides exceptional Training and Coaching, but she also teaches her girls vital leadership and life skills that can be used later in life as adults. Her sessions are demanding and fast-paced, but her coaching does not break you down but build you up. As parents, we’ve witnessed significant improvements in speed, agility, serving, digging, and passing.

Coach April has helped me so much over the past year! She helped me elevate my game from playing half of the time to being a full rotation starter! She has played the game for a long time, so she has many insightful comments and corrections that help you fix your mistakes. I recommend her private lessons and bootcamps to all the volleyball players I know because she is so amazing!!

I have been training with Coach April for 2 years now and I have improved tremendously. She does an incredible job of giving correction as soon as it's needed and having a balance of pushing us and congratulating us when we deserve it. By going to her bootcamp and semi-private lessons I went from not being able to serve over the net at all to being able to place a controlled serve anywhere on the court. Coach April is the best volleyball coach I've ever had!

Within the past six years, I have tutored high school and college students in various math topics including geometry, algebra 1, algebra 2, and trigonometry. My strengths are in math topics. I helped teach a college anatomy lab course at High Point University before I moved to Florida. I have experience in biology, chemistry and physics. Each student that I worked with learned in a different way, so I strive to alter my tutoring style to meet the needs of the individual while meeting the class expectations. I am currently studying education at the University of Central Florida. My current classes teach new ways to convey information to a variety of students across settings and subjects. My lessons are fun and I use examples and fun tricks to remember the information!
