A tin whistle player is called a tin whistler or simply a whistler. The tin whistle is closely associated with Celtic music. Tin whistle (aka irish whistle, aka penny whistle) is one of the easiest wind instruments to play. Easier even, than the recorder, ultra portable, and very fun to play. I teach almost exclusively Irish (and some British and Scottish) repertoire on the tin whistle.
