Do you have two left arms and two left feet (or two rights of each if you're left-handed), and have no idea how to coordinate behind your drumset?

Do you want to be able to accurately listen to a song and "play it" on your steering wheel as you drive?

Do you constantly have trouble maintaining speed, slowing down or speeding up for no reason?

How about wanting to go all-out and learning those crazy double-bass parts and snare rolls popular in today's extreme metal? Ostinatos/stick patterns on cowbells and timbale sounds from your toms?

I require a practice pad for lessons to learn rudiments and coordination techniques, even if it's just a mouse pad taped to a heavy book to start with. If you continue taking lessons, I can recommend the best practice pad for you.

I typically will teach and write drums using a combination of tablature and standard sheet music. Tablature a simple set of lines and X marks that are much easier to read, and once learned will instantly give you access

About Nathan

Shanita was very intuitive about my needs as a singer and even more so as a performer. I came with years of experience as a background singer, but with no confidence as a soloist/solo artist. She recognized my areas for improvement and honed in to work on those areas. Her teaching is truly tailored to the student and her experience as an artist/performer gives me the confidence that I am trusting my talents, and money, with the right person. This is my first lesson, but I feel at home and well taken care of.

"Out of all of the music lessons and music instructors that I ever had, Tom was by far my favorite. Never did a lesson seem boring or monotonous. He knows a wide variety of genres and music styles, and shows incredible passion to Music itself . Some instructors just teach you how to play an instrument, but Tom does more than that, by teaching music theory you not only have the ability to play music, but to understand and even write it as well. I am very grateful for being able to have had him as my guitar instructor and would definitely recommend him to anyone who is serious about learning and playing music."

"My son and I cannot recommend Devin highly enough. As a true beginner, my son needed structure and patience. Devin immediately got to know my son and figured out the best approach for his interests, level, and learning style. Each week for an hour, the two would sit and go through lessons in a book, basic exercises, beginning songs, and playtime. My son could not wait to see Devin each week as he really felt Devin cared about him as a student. Devin is timely and flexible, dedicated and thoughtful. What is a Lute, and How is it Different From the Guitar?

As a guitar player, I rarely had to deal with the issue of explaining what my instrument was to people I met. Even non-musicians are generally familiar with the guitar and the many forms and shapes it takes. When I made the transition to playing the lute, however, this changed significantly, due in no small part to the odd-looking case that I have to carry the instrument around in. People will often ask me, “What is a lute?” In truth, the history of the lute is a long one and I often s …
