As a native German speaker and native English speaker, students will quickly learn German proficiency and lessons will be focused on the goals of the particular student.

What is my approach? First of all, I listen carefully, very carefully. I believe it is important for an excellent job to know precisely what my client wants to accomplish. Understanding this is the prerequisite to give good advice, guidance and then, of course, a plan, a kind of strategy to follow in order to reach these goals. There will be a permanent interaction between my client and myself to monitor the progress, eventually speed up the tempo or, if necessary, to slow down.
There is no dogma; there is only one main criterion: success.

I grew up at the Northern tip of the Black Forest in Southwestern Germany and have spent most of my childhood vacations at my grandparents' in the Eifel region, close to the border with Luxemburg. Therefore, I got to grow up with standard German and two quite distinct dialects of German.

Once I started teaching German to refugees and did an internship in a university German class I started to become aware of the intricacies of German grammar and vocabulary and saw it with new eyes. Frankly, I may not be able to explain ALL grammatical phenomena, but it will be my pleasure to explore and expand my knowledge of German with you.

We can discuss what life in the German-speaking world is like, explore German literature and music, and along the way have a look at the grammar, vocabulary and prosody you may need to talk about those things.

I grew up in the German part of Switzerland. I was exposed to the language throughout my schooling years. In my professional life as a doctor's assistant and later CEO assistant I needed to communicate daily in the German language. I studied business for 3 years. Over the last 3 years I have taught numerous people German. Some only need a little guidance, others keep on coming back to master more fluent conversation.

I'm flexible with my time and willing to adapt to my students' needs.

My emphasis is on a dialogue-driven media-enriched, and comparative introduction for the language to draw out a common ground and familiarize possibly daunting differences. I use a customized curriculum addressing frequently requested topics, as family, travel, outdoor, seasons, and custom themes for an optimal lesson experience.
For example, students have favorably reviewed my unique usage of audio monitoring software during online lessons to help approximate accent issues between different languages. Students obtain a repository of audio files to complement each lesson. My multimedia approach that coordinates sound, visual, and online resource, as Easy German and Google Earth, turns German into a good choice for a second or additional language.
I grew up bilingual English and German, attending an international school from a very young age. I attended, also, a German public secondary school, where I earned a diploma, and I completed German credits at the college level. Therefore, ...
