Sweet, sweet Ableton. How I love you. You seem to be have become an extension of my musical brain. Having used a few DAWs over the years (I was mainly a Cubase guy) I finally got the chance to create on Ableton. Much to my elation, this was through a lifelong friend and Ableton wizard Aaron Lager of MSH TH CNTRLR. We began collaborating with him showing me his many tricks. We have since started our own project and I have logged beyond countless hours behind the Launchpad and Push. Session view is the main difference between Ableton and other DAWs. I will teach you from the basics of production up through using Ableton in live performance. Prepare for a life-changing musical experience!
About Thomas
I LOVE to teach and I am looking for a few more motivated students online and at my home studio on Merritt Island, Florida. Lessons are fun and motivating! Beginning students learn songs that they love while also learning basic theory and instrument technique. Advanced students will have their mind

I was one of the first 4 Ableton certified trainer's world-wide and have been re-certified several times since. You can find my CT profile on the Ableton website.
I started the first US Ableton curriculum at the legendary Dubspot in NYC, where I was also teaching for 8 years, both in the physical school and online.
i've been teaching Ableton at Garnish Music since 2017 where I co-wrote the curriculum.
As a long time electronic music producer I'm familiar with Logic, Po-Tools and I'm also a Native Instruments specialist, having created curricula for sound design with Komplete and Maschine at the above schools.
Over the years I worked in many musical style, from hiphop to house, techno, synth wave and downtempo bass music styles, having been an active artist/producer with major label credentials myself since the beginnings of electronic pop music while also collaborating in the studio with many artists.
I speak English, German, French and also some Italian.

He knows so much and is so enthusiastic and patient while teaching. He has a lot of experience and he is a warm-hearted person, definitely the kind of person you wanna spend your time with :-)
Maschine is not easy to learn but Heinrich tried to simplify topics into something easy to understand. He was open and flexible to my learning style and how I wanted to approach my lessons. That's the biggest benefit to private lessons with Heinrich!
I read the review by Cezanne about Heinrich not having enough interaction with students and that was not my experience. In fact, I felt sometimes I got too much time with him (sorry Heinrich, sometimes you talk a lot haha!). Don't get me wrong, the things he had to say were very valuable, I can just be too eager sometimes to move on from a topic so that's really on me and not Heinrich. Any time I had questions, I could text him and if it was too much to text back, he would call me right away.
Heinrich is also very chill and relaxed when it comes to working with you to find a good time to meet up for a lesson.

Modern technological tools are revolutionizing the possibilities for musical artists. By learning about music production, you can have the sounds of the orchestra, rock band, and beyond all at your finger tips. I offer instruction in Ableton Live and other related software.
Depending on your goals, music production lessons can include instruction on synthesis, realistic sounding manipulation of samplers, recording, mixing and mastering. If these terms sound like Greek to you, that's fine too! All that is required for music production lessons is an interest in creating music with a computer and other pieces of music technology.
I also offer lessons in composition, music theory, arranging, and piano performance. These subjects may also be included, if applicable. On the first lesson with a new student, I'll always go over the options for potential areas of study and work with the student to develop an appropriate course of study customized to their needs and interests. Before I started my lessons with Christiaan I would blow my voice out during extended singing sessions and knew I needed to find a vocal coach with the expertise to help me to prevent permanent damage. He quickly identified my strengths and weaknesses and gave me many tools and techniques I never even thought I'd be capable of.
Christiaan has an amazing teaching style and always brings positive energy to each lesson. He knows how to offer constructive criticism in a gentle way that makes you excited to want to do better.
I'm much more motivated and confident as a singer-songwriter as a result of these lessons and I can't thank him enough for bringing that element to my life.
We worked together for a grad school audition for vocal performance. I would not have got the offer without Christiaan. He was super helpful, patient, and really helped me become a better singer/performer! Definitely recommend his lessons!

Currently, he does audio engineering and mixing for Rapper Twista, nothing to sneeze at, right? He's signed as a pop dance producer, working in EDM and house. So he focuses on more of the electronic top 40, i.e. he's worked with The Chain Smokers. Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. In Chicago, hip hop is the main thing. Some of the biggest rappers come out from Chicago, but most of his music comes out of Amsterdam.
He gave me the basics of Ableton, which was GREAT. I learned about EQ, compression, reverb, delay and phasors. We took a song by Bonobo (Ketto) and tried to reverse engineer all the tracks. This was hard, but in so doing, I got exposure to Splice and a host of amazing plug-ins. Every lesson was eye opening for me. I felt like I was dipping my toes into a vast ocean, and like a kid in a candy shop. These were awesome. Highly recommended.
