I like to make lessons fun and engaging for my students. Practicing for the sake of practicing doesn't yield usually leave a lasting love for playing music. I'm passionate about helping my students figure out what kind of music they enjoy or connect with and giving them the tools and techniques needed to play their favorite songs and styles - and also be able to play with their friends. I'm happy to go as deep into theory as the student wants to go. Learning the guitar changed my life because it gave me a new way to connect with people, and I started playing in churches and bands at a young age. My hope is to help my you or your child develop a love and mastery of your instrument!

Hello! My name is Max Fletcher - I have been playing and teaching guitar for over 15 years. I recently graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music, where I studied Guitar Performance with Maestros Eliot Fisk and Joe Morris, and Composition with Stratis Minakakis. When teaching, I have always tried to provide a multi-faceted and multi-dimensional experience that encourages learning to take place on many levels simultaneously. Music making is a process that involves many technical, theoretical, practical, and even historical elements, and is not a linear progression but often more circular in nature. In my own practice I have always tried to let the music guide and inform me, and consequently the most important element of my teaching is the experience of the music itself.
About Max
I began with the electric guitar at age 10 playing jazz, blues, and metal before becoming interested in classical guitar when I was 14. I have performed internationally in numerous masterclasses for esteemed guitarists such as Leo Brouwer, Eduardo Fernandez, David Tanenbaum, Jorge Caballero, Zaira

Michael is a patient and passionate musician, which comes across in his teaching. As a beginner at guitar, I was nervous that I was going to be judged or talked to condescendingly but he understands what a beginner needs to know and really meets you where you're at with the lesson plans and expectations. Feel very comfortable asking questions and get honest and thought out questions. Definitely recommend for anyone at any level!"

From a logistics perspective, I can't say enough. Jeremie is reliable and communicates promptly and effectively. He works with us in scheduling conflicts and is as flexible as he can be.
I highly recommend Jeremie for lessons for you or your child."
