Matthew is a wonderful teacher due to his ability to relate the material to your own experiences and understandings. He's very skilled at recognizing students' areas of difficulty and addressing them with ease. He's also passionate about what he does and his students walk away with this same passion for learning! I am from Colombia where I used to be both, an English and Spanish Teacher. I did it for over 15 years and thanks God I did a great job in all institutions I worked for. My accent is from Bogotá, Colombia, and I have a very learned spanish level. Many people say that in Colombia, specially in Bogotá, you will find one of the best places to learn this language as our accent is neutral. I have developed a skilled and easy technique to teach this beautiful language. On the other hand I am an artist. If you are interested in learning and getting a high and fluent spanish level, with someone who feels passion for teaching, I am the one you need.

About Reina
******NOTE: Register for summer lessons today! Improve your singing voice. Learn to write songs. Grow your range. Confidently prepare for auditions. All while learning in a comfortable environment, on your schedule, without travel time to and from your lesson!!!

Lessons available Sunday - Thursday.

Hi, I'm Reina and I'm obsessed with the voice instrument! I have over 20 years of music experience, as a vocalist and performer. I've been teaching voice lessons since 2005.

Below is a list of FAQ's - if you have further questions beyond what is listed feel free to contact me through the Ask a Question feature on my profile.

Where can I take voice lessons?
Currently lessons are available online.

What will I learn in my lessons?
You will learn how to care for, and properly play your instrument. We will start with basic exercise
s and drills, and move into more advanced techniques as you progress in your skill sets.

What if I'm a beginner?
Totally fine! I teach all levels beginning through professional. The voice is an instrument just like any other instrument and must be learned in the same manner, from the beginning!

Can I try the first class Free?
No, but you will get a FREE lesson on your birthday (must have taken lessons for 6-months) and for each friend you refer that purchases a 5-pack of lessons.

What is your teaching style?
I am more than your voice teacher. I am your coach, your friend, your, mentor and peer. You are your voice, and in order for me to properly teach, you have to trust me. We will build a rapport as you grow your instrument in confidence, strength and flexibility.

Are there added bonuses to taking singing lessons?!
Yes! Proper breathing is a guaranteed ab workout, singing can improve your speaking voice, and you'll have a better sense of self understanding by learning how to better control your instrument. Not to mention all the unplanned karaoke you can take part in!

A little more about the teacher:
I've been a singer since as long as I can remember. I never wanted anything else. I started as a beginner by imitating my favorite artists. I performed a lot as a child, and stopped performing for a while in my teen years due to stage fright and the such. During that time I started songwriting and recording, I studied music in college, graduated and started performing again as a solo artist. I joined a few bands, they all broke up. I licked my wounds and now I'm a happy, recording, performing, songwriting, teaching, voice-over, and producing vocalist.

I have taught professionally for 18 years, nine as a tutor. What began as undergraduate work-study bloomed into part time private tutoring independently, with great success. From elementary arithmetic to trigonometry, I've helped many an overwhelmed student raise their GPA!

I hold a BA with honors from CSUSB, with an English concentration. I was personally requested by my linguistics teacher for peer tutoring. My one-on-one experience has been predominantly in math and English, though I am open to other subjects because...

My teaching has taken me from museum galleries to working farms, and mountain trails to public schools. Whether I hold feldspar by a stream, a paint brush in a school room, or a salamander in an animal gallery, I see people learning best when they smile as they go. I make it a point to see that both occur. My sess
ions are always a safe, supportive environment in which mistakes are an essential, acceptable part of learning.

I learn because I love to, I teach because I'm good at it, and I tutor because it creates the greatest opportunity for success. The true payoff for me is helping my students realize they can achieve what they didn't think they could. I love that!

My daughter always had a great deal of trouble with math at all levels - arithmetic, Algebra, and Geometry. Jon tutored my daughter for several years, in our home, in Arithmetic, Algebra I and II, and Geometry. He definitely shares responsibility for her graduation from Beaumont High School with a class rank of 7th out of about 575 fellow students. Jon is very flexible in his teaching, and excels at figuring out what aspect of math is causing confusion for the student. He is very patient, and is able to rephrase and express concepts in different ways to get the point across. Fantastic tutor!

About Peter
Hi! My name is Peter, and I'm a young musician living in Southside, Pittsburgh. I attended college at Georgetown University, where I majored in Mathematics and minored in Music. I spent 3 years working for the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, teaching all levels of mathematics up through Ordinary Differential Equations and Linear Algebra. My focus within music while at school was in Classical theory and composition, but I'm really into jazz, rock and roll, and the blues. I currently have a daytime job relating to mathematics, but in my spare time I write, record, and perform music as often as possible.

I've been a guitarist for about 11 years now, and mostly teach beginner to intermediate students. If you're just picking up the instrument, or have learned on and off for some time, then we would probably be a great match. I foc
us on teaching the basics of music as they relate to guitar, in order to establish good fundamentals and habits. I encourage students to write their own music while learning some of their favorite songs.

If you'd like to pursue guitar lessons or math tutoring with me, please contact me using the information provided. I look forward to hearing from you!

About December
Hi! My name is December and I am a 28 year old lover of music and crafts!

Music was instilled in me from a very young age with piano lessons, and I grew up playing the piano, flute, and singing in choirs. I graduated from Grove City College with a degree in vocal music, and always looked forward to teaching piano and voice lessons during the summer months. My students appreciate that lessons are fun and worthy of their time. You will not walk away from a lesson without new knowledge and skills!

In my spare time, I usually have some craft in hand. Knitting has become a favorite hobby of mine, and being mostly self taught, I love helping others discover how easy and rewarding it can be!

My goal is to help you have fun while practicing your skills, and to learn something new and attainable at each lesson. Lessons will be based on
your current skill level and will increase in difficulty based on your own rate of learning. I believe that learning should be fun, rewarding, and purposeful. I am very easy going, but also want to help hold you to the standard of learning that will help you advance your studies.
