There are many routes and discoveries toward becoming a singer and here are a few of the steps.
1) Memorize musical selections and routines, or sing following printed text, musical notation, or instructions.
2) Interpret or modify music, applying knowledge of harmony, melody, rhythm, and voice production to individualize presentations and maintain audience interest.
3) Observe choral leaders or prompters for cues or directions in vocal presentation.
4) Perform before live audiences, or in television, radio, or movie productions.
5) Practice singing exercises and study with vocal coaches, in order to develop their voices and skills and to rehearse for upcoming roles.
6) Seek out and learn new music that is suitable for live performance and/or recording.

I am available to teach any beginning band student how to get started on their instrument, including woodwinds (flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone), brass (trumpet, horn, trombone, tuba), and concert percussion. As a middle school band director, I have 8 years of experience getting beginners off the ground and running (sometimes as many as 40 in the room at the same time)! Our lesson would focus on the basics of the instrument (assembly, carriage, posture, hand/stick position) and the basics of tone production (embouchure, air, rudiments).
About Andy
My name is Andy and I am a musician, educator, and composer in the metro-Detroit area. After picking up the trumpet 20 years ago in 5th grade band class, I became enthralled with the way music spurs our sense of community and creativity. I have taught as a Michigan public school music teacher for

With all of the music teachers in LA and the world, it is difficult to choose the best. With Fawn, I believe 100% that I have found the best. She is well educated, well rounded and versed in all the musical styles, up on the latest musical trends, yet knows the composers, songwriters and vocalists of yesteryears. She is passionate, fun, compassionate, patient, loving, kind and has a college degree from the 2 top music schools in the world. She has a thorough understanding of music theory, performance, voice, piano and the many ins and outs of the music industry. She is able to teach her students the theory behind the songs they are learning to play, sing, write and record. She is great at sharing the musical journey with her students, guiding them with honesty, tender care and knowledge. My daughter has grown leaps and bounds with Fawn and absolutely loves her. Sheâs helped change her voice into her authentic voice, taught her how to get over stage fright, how to turn her poems into song lyrics and how to produce her own vocals in the recording studio. She is quite simply, the best."

As an improvisor his main influences are Sonny Stitt, Dexter Gordon, and Joshua Redman. For any jazz musician on any instrument he is a master instructor of bebop. His overall playing versatility is solid but his forte is bebop. He is simply a beast of bebop and can aptly guide you along the path of musical enlightenment. Also, like most great jazz musicians his piano chops are excellent."

I got to the lesson and I was shaking. I've always been an Actor and I've always had this mental block about my voice. But After talking to her, Within the first 5 minutes she had already had me laughing and relaxing in my chair. She not only showed me how to use my vocals, she explained (In Detail) why and what was making my voice tighten up in the first place. She understood everything that my vocal cords were doing.
I would certainly say that Coren goes the extra mile when it comes to training the voice. And she has one of the biggest hearts on this planet! There were many lessons I had with her where I would Just be in tears because I had a mental block about my voice. But Coren would not let me stay there. She Believed in me and she got me out of my mental patterns.
I owe a lot to this women and I couldn't be more Grateful that I have the opportunity to study under her!"

If you truly want a teacher who cares about you and your musical dreams, then you NEED to take lessons with Ms. Christine. She has taught me and my Day Care children so much about music education, I will forever be grateful to her talents. Thanks you so much Ms. Christine!
