Lessons will be customized to meet the needs of the students. I have five years of teaching students from ages five to fifty and over twenty years of experience as a musician. Students will learn core music essentials such as music theory, ear training, sight reading, and more. And for songwriters I offer lessons on songwriting and structuring.

Basic out line of blues guitar approach touching on the I IV V progression and pentatonic scales to play lead lines, solos and melodies. Heavy investigation of note bending, breathing and space. Learning to let the notes "breath" and speak is key to good blues.

I try to have fun and always be encouraging. I know how frustrating it can be in the beginning. I know quite a few different styles and also like to help others write their own songs once they start to get the hang of it. I have worked with people of all age groups but mostly teen and pre-teen. I look forward to helping you have fun learning guitar!!

I can teach a wide variety of styles on the guitar. Once the basic skills and technique behind the guitar are learned, we would be ready to master the blues scales and use them to improvise solos over blues progressions.
