Seemed a little disorganized. It might have been part of the "getting to know me" process and what I wanted to accomplish. The hour went by very fast!

I have taken lessons from Benjamin, and found him to be an excellent teacher. If you are looking for someone to teach you bass, or guitar you can't find a more patient teacher. I would recommend him to anyone seeking lessons.

Pamela is great, very professional and welcoming. This was my daughter's first voice lesson ever and she was super excited when it was over. Looking forward to the next lesson. Highly recommended.

I have had a vocal coach before meeting Pam, but she absolutely took it to another level. Pamela does a good job with teaching the mechanics of singing, as she pin points which muscles the body is using and how to use them properly when singing. She has a variety of warm ups and stretches to get your voice and body prepared to perform and is very good and pushing you to become your best. If you are a serious singer and would like to take the knowledge of your craft a step further, I would definitely recommend.

We are so happy with Pamela, she has helped my daughter maximize her talents. Alayna finally was accepted into the singing group at her high school which is very competitive. We are thrilled!! Thanks Pamela :)

I can be a great help to musicians who are looking to get feedback for their performance and to be able to get a better idea of how their performance is being received by an audience.

About Paul

I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University with a minor in music and an emphasis on music theory. I have studied classical piano extensively for over 20 years and jazz piano for over 10 years. I studied jazz improvisation with world-famous jazz guitarist, Ted Dunbar, Rutgers University Mason

Very passionate about piano and able to convey ideas.. also very good at feeling out what student is seeking to achieve. Definitely recommend Paul if you are wanting to take playing piano as a serious endeavor

My experience with this teacher was horrible. Paul has no patience for a child that might not pay attention as much as necessary. He has forgotten what it is to be a child or how to win over a child and make a lesson fun.
My child had one previous lesson with Paul. It is true that she was not following his directions and his frustration was quite obvious.
On my second visit I was appalled by Paul’s behavior. Again my child wouldn’t sit down on the bench correctly. Verbatim this what occurred next, I quote: “This is not going to work out. Get out of my house NOW, NOW!(Screaming, like I was going to prolong this). I have better things to do than waste my time with your daughter. I don’t want to take your money.

It is true that my daughter can be difficult when approached in an authoritarian manner. However, my daughter is not yet six and Paul brought my daughter to tears. Surely this behavior was at best inappropriate and says more about the person Paul is than about my daughter. A simple “ May I have word with you in private” would be a mature way to part company. Not throwing a 6 year out of your house because you are frustrated. I was horribly offended by his manner and attitude. No way to treat a 6 year old.

This man has no patience with young kids. I would stay away from this teacher unless your child has some experience with piano. Definitely not child friendly.
Normally I do not post reviews unless something extraordinary happens This is one of those: extraordinarily bad.
An apology is in order if this poor excuse for a “teacher” has any understanding of the unnecessary hurt he has caused.
Nancy

I strive to treat each student equally no matter how advance the student are. My job as a teacher is to provide students a tool in life. Students will learn the way life works through the art of music. Should the students decide to pursue music or not in the future, I only hope that students will apply what they've learned in music to their everyday problem solving.

About Johnny

Johnny received his Bachelors of Music at the University of Alabama, under the tutelage of Carlton McCreery, and a Masters of Music at The Boston Conservatory with Andrew Mark. Johnny is experienced in teaching cello. His lessons are always passionate, musical, and informative. There are several aspects of his lessons that I'd like to share.

1. Full of Content: He delivers enough details of a new technique with simplification for an easy understanding.
2. Learning Curve: By breaking down and reorganizing the knowledge, he teaches new concepts step by step, from approachable actions to efficient actions.
3. Customization: He helps you find out a suitable solution to grow on the techniques based on your own physical and cognitive characteristics.
4. Experimentation: The correct ways he suggests you do is demonstrated by experimenting with different ways for comparison, which you would not only know what to do but know the reason behind it.

Cello is a beautiful yet complicated instrument. To enjoy it, a great mentorship is necessary and truly valued.

Performing can sometimes be nerve wracking - students of performance need experience playing in a variety of situations. Using principles from books like "The Inner Game of Tennis" and "Bounce" Ms. L is able to craft different performance environments and provide constructive feedback to move the student into easy performance.

"I can speak to Drew being a wonderful performer, as both a solo artist and in choral ensembles. She has developed a very good stage presence, whether it is on a Saturday night at an East End Louisville Bar, or on Sunday morning at a New Albany church choir. At her young age, she has a good foundation for how a future musician will be expected to conduct themselves to enhance their musical performance career. She is also very blessed with a great gift for her vocal and instrumental skills."

"Melanie is incredibly thoughtful and thorough in her approach to teaching voice. She is the most patient and knowledgeable teacher I've ever had. If I've ever not understood a concept, she helps me to work through it in my time. She quickly identified my strengths and helped me to keep them strong while working diligently improving my weakest parts. I highly recommend her if you are looking for someone who will be the best teacher you have ever had."

"Eric B. was the music instructor for both my children at the middle and high school they attended. Additionally, I taught with Eric for seven years.

My children received excellent music instruction in both trombone and flute. I was pleased with the rigor of the practice that was expected from Eric, which enabled dramatic growth in their musical ability. I was also pleased that they were both able to read music due to the instruction they were given under Eric's tutelage.

As I said earlier, I have worked with Eric as a colleague. I found him to be highly organized, student centered with regard to growth and performance, and a man of high character.

Eric created a Jazz band curriculum at the school corporation we taught at, where he developed several Jazz sections that would perform regularly in the community. Eric would invite notable guest musicians to work with the students and participate with them in these performances.

I would recommend Eric, without reservations, to anyone who desires a quality music instructor."

He is always kind about how he professes but also takes teaching seriously. he has an amazing capacity of patience and is willing to work with a student until they are comfortable and confident in their skill.
