I can help students expand their music theory knowledge to make their musicianship even better. I can help them learn how to part write, and be exposed to different chords and being able to recognize them in their current music they are playing.

About Holly

I have been playing piano for 15 years, and taught two students while I was still in high school. I took a break from teaching for a few years, but recently started teaching again, while I am finishing up college. I am introverted, but I bond well with kids and will treat them well.

As I am an older adult piano student with many years of experience playing organ and digital keyboard, including publicly and for hire, I was uncertain which way to go when I decided to add piano (and ultimately jazz piano) to my repertoire. After considering a number of options (online teaching programs, books, YouTube videos, and various instructors), I decided to employ Holly's vast musical expertise. I was impressed that she had a proposed lesson plan right off the bat, and she convinced me that starting with classical music may be the way to morph my way into jazz piano. I knew as a fact that many jazz musicians had their start that way. Holly has been very patient with my learning the whole new way of playing that a piano entails (no more relying on the built-in bells and whistles of an arranger keyboard). I would recommend Holly for adult students as well as children. She knows her stuff. And if she gets mad if I don't play something right the first time, she sure doesn't show it (mainly because she DOESN'T get mad at all). But my biggest recommendation comes that she is darn passionate about what she does.
Leroy
Holly is an incredible pianist and teacher. Always patient and understanding. She always has the answer to questions I have and can explain it clearly. I would recommend Holly to anyone looking to learn piano the correct way.

First, we'll talk about your goals and what you want from the lessons. If you're a beginner, within the first few lessons, you'll be playing simple songs with both hands. I have been playing the piano since I was 6 and started teaching lessons at 16. I love teaching beginning and intermediate students. I typically use the Alfred books depending on age. I focus on a strong music theory foundation and solid practice techniques. We'll use audio and/or video recording to make sure you have an example to take home with you to practice with each session. I can't wait to meet you!

What makes my trumpet lessons unique is that I approach the instrument in a very pedagocial and simple approach. The basis of sound and ease of playing is always a top priority for myself and my students. I strive to make playing the trumpet fun and challenging and strive to make the best music I possibly can with my students as I know they are also striving to become a better musician and person.

Jeremy was great! My daughter’s first lesson went very well. Her first instructor joined the military, so we were left to select someone new. By God’s grace and a lot of help from Michael at TakeLessons, we landed on Jeremy’s profile. We couldn’t have gotten a better instructor the second time around! It’s like an extension of the first lessons! Jeremy is knowledgeable, kind, sincere, laid back, patient, and encouraging. What more could we ask for? As a mother, I really appreciate his communication with me via phone and email. If you are looking for a great instructor, you can do no better than Jeremy!
Mariam
Honestly could not have asked for a better instructor! I have heard nothing but good things from my kid, as well as seeing improvement in her playing. Very punctual and friendly!

***I am a freelance musician/percussionist in the NYC area but I am currently teaching online lessons from my Texas home in the midst of the pandemic.***

Being from Texas, music education became a huge part of my life from the moment I picked up a pair of sticks in 2001. I received two performance degrees from very prestigious music/percussion programs (Florida State and Eastman School of Music) and I have been private teaching since 2013. Lessons with me could set you up for either great success and/or to simply have a very good time learning something new. Whatever goals you have, I will do my very best to fulfill them. I have training on the following instruments: marimba, xylophone, vibes, bells, snare drum, timpani, drum set, auxiliary instruments (tambourine, triangle, cymbals, tom-toms, etc) and a few hand drums. I currently have access to a drum set, marimba and drum pad/snare drum.

I am currently offering violin lessons for anyone in any level! I want to share the joy of playing violin with students, whether it's your first go at it or if you're interested in honing skill sets or if you're working towards an audition or recital.

For beginners: We will start with the proper positions of how to hold the violin and bow. From here, we will expand into solidifying note reading, and note association with the violin. Depending on progress, I will then introduce short pieces.

For those who do not know how to read any music, I offer theory as well.

For intermediate: We will review proper violin and bow hold, go over scales, arpeggios and begin different violin positions and vibrato! Very exciting. I will discuss how best to practise, focus is essential for efficiency. We will cover a variety of short works.

For advanced players: Depending on your goals, this is flexible. Overall, an overview of correct technique, working on the expression of musical ideas, ...

Though at times his schedule can be a little cluttered, Erasmo is always willing to add another lesson to his calendar. He's an all-around great teacher and nice guy, and this really shows through the relaxed, chill environment he creates during lessons. He taught me almost everything I know about music, and I feel like I can come to him whenever I have a question about a certain technique or piece of music. Respect."

"Since I have been training with Jachee I have developed better access to my vocal powers and my vocal range has expanded. Jachee is extremely professional in her vocal training. She can teach a variety of vocal styles and have you develope ear training in order to distinguish the appropriate notes to sing and remain on the correct notes from the beginning to the end of the song selection. I must say with her expert advise she has guided me in area's I knew was a challenge for me, yet she help me over come the fears I was experiencing without even mentioning it to her. I was soo soo pleased with her that I recommended 3 other persons and if my son gives me th ok I will bring my grand children as well. Her training has helped and improved my vocal cords not harmed them. We practice our breathing, stretching & warm-ups which are so much fun. I would like to achieve singing effortlessly one day as she does when she is on stage. She is amazing, powerful, talented and ve ry professional. I highly recommend Mrs. Jachee, I really call here Boss J because of the way she takes command vocally when she is on stage. By the way there is not a song this power house of a Lady that she can not sing. Give her any song any style and watch with amazement of what beauty and creativity she brings and applies to whatever selections you place before her!!! You can trust you child with her as well. I sooooo love Boss J !!!!!! If I were to have a compliant it would be that we have soo much fun that time flys so quickly and I do not want to LEAVE. Lol 😄🤗😄😁🤣"
