My approach is fun, simple, and easy to understand. I focus on getting a strong foundation and excellent first experience with music. The child will be given a lesson and theory book to work from, but will also be encouraged to sing music they personally like. This keeps the child motivated to practice and adds an element of fun! These songs can then be used in our recitals, for auditions, or put in their personal repertoire book.

I have also successfully prepared many students for their Cab Calloway School for the Arts auditions and have made it in.

I have really enjoyed my lessons. Jean Luc is a kind and patient teacher. He answers all my questions and is very responsive. I am very busy so I need an instructor who is non judgmental and let's me work at my own pace. The style may not be for everyone but this is what I needed.

Jean-Luc is an excellent teacher as he tailors the lesson to the student's needs. During my lessons, I have greatly improved in speaking, reading and writing. There are many fun activities and just having a conversation with Jean-Luc is fun. He is a native-born French speaker, which I think makes a big difference. I wish I could give Jean-Luc more than 5 stars! He's the best!

Shanita was very intuitive about my needs as a singer and even more so as a performer. I came with years of experience as a background singer, but with no confidence as a soloist/solo artist. She recognized my areas for improvement and honed in to work on those areas. Her teaching is truly tailored to the student and her experience as an artist/performer gives me the confidence that I am trusting my talents, and money, with the right person. This is my first lesson, but I feel at home and well taken care of.

From the fundamentals of scales to articulating words to performing, she’s very helpful in different aspects of singing. In each lesson, she keeps a supportive and cheerful mood. At the end of the day, it’s clear that she wants you to improve to the best of your ability.
