Hi, I’m Norman, and I teach guitar and all other fretted instruments. I have maintained a weekly schedule of about 40 studio and online students since 2010. Lessons with me are fun, streamlined, and filled with music.
My students can play their instruments well, and they know their chords, scales, arpeggios, songs, and other compositions. Using the state-of-the art music learning theory I studied at Eastman School of Music, performers gain the confidence to play in solo recitals, or with a group, or even to teach others to play, too.
About Norman
I have been teaching other people to play musical instruments since the moment I got home from my first music store guitar lesson. And while I am fortunate that teaching has always come naturally to me, I am very grateful that my degrees in music performance, music education, and instructional desig

I tried to teach guitar in the same manner in which I teach every instrument. First I teach students the rudiments of the instrument. Also I teach them how to read and a bit of music theory. From that point I like to follow the students lead. They bring in songs that they would like to learn, or possibly how to play lead guitar, or how to finger pick. At every point I try to point out general aspects of music that need to be learned from the material that they choose.

Amazing teacher! Excellent teaching skills..He`s patient and takes sufficient time on a subject and makes sure you have learned the right techniques. I would highly recommend him!"

Eric is a great teacher. I had taken lessons from someone else several years ago. Eric was immediately able to adjust to my skill level, and pushed me further in just a few weeks than I had ever hoped. He's very patient, yet is always getting me to get better.
He's great, communication-wise. He's even sent me vids, showing me how to tackle problems.
His knowledge is incredible. But the important thing is that he shares what he knows - technique, rock, blues, classics, theory -- it's all there!
Bottom line - if you want to improve, Eric's your only choice."

John is an extremely patient and positive teacher. He is exactly what my son needs. He is encouraging and funny and the lesson with him just flies by. My son, who is not quite six, is already playing many notes and chords and reading music after just two months. I whole-heartedly recommend John."

Edwin was a great teacher. He was very patient and knew the guitar well enough to teach an adult who knew nothing. I have recommended my friends and their kids."

Learning the guitar is a great goal in itself - but you'll need to get more specific if you want to truly make some progress!
