Dj zen is an excellent teacher for someone like me.. He was patient and understanding when it came to the speed at which I pick up things. In addition to working with jazz ensembles and symphonies, he performs regularly with local pop/rock bands, and works as a freelance wedding DJ under the moniker “Seth Vitál” (performing for 30-40 weddings per year). Garrett has a B.A. in Music from the University of California, San Diego, where he studied under two-time Grammy award-winning producer/arranger Kamau Kenyatta, and was awarded the university's 2017 Jazz Society Award.
