I can teach you fingerpicking and riffs, from basics to advanced including how to use a slide guitar.

Learn the specifics of Electric/Acoustic rhythm or lead guitar.
Besides learning to play your favorite songs, we'll cover common chord progressions and scales, as well as Country specific techniques like chicken/Travis/finger-picking, pedal steel bends and banjo rolls.

I have been working as a professional musician since 1987. In that time, I've played many roles alongside a wide range of established and emerging talent, from around the world, including band leader, accompanist, music producer, composer, arranger, co-writer, teacher, coach and mentor. Along the way, I have continued to pursue my passion for education, teaching private music lessons to amateurs, professionals and hobbyists from all walks of life.

I have been living and working in Nashville, Tennessee since March 2004. In that time, I have picked up LOADS of experience and techniques working with a long list of established and emerging Country, Alternative Country and Americana acts. I have a lot to offer in this area. I am not, however, your guy for "chicken-pickin'."

I am a professional guitarist who plays for musicals, recordings, and live jazz, blues and contemporary music and I have been a professional music teacher for the last 7 years. For me, teaching is about helping my students be the best musicians they can be.

I want to help you learn that song you've always wanted to learn, get you on stage at the open mic, get you into your high school/college jazz band or classical guitar ensemble, or maybe help you take your guitar playing to a professional level.

I like to take a different approach with each student because everyone learns differently, but I like to keep things structured so students can get the most out of each lesson. I try and break down my lessons into three sections: The Warmup, Ear Training and Performance. We'll warm up our hands with a technique building exercise, train our ears to hear music like it's a language, and then go onto learning a song your interested in or a piece of music from my repertoire so you can perform

We have more than 10 years of experience teaching guitar and piano to adults and children 3 and up. We personalize each lesson to motivate you and help you reach your musical goals!

I'm originally from Los angels California, I grew up outside of Hollywood and grew up like all of us being a fan first. I grew up playing in bands of all sorts and became a guitar tech and teacher soon after. I throughly enjoy passing down next generations with knowledge acquired throughout my years of playing, building and teaching.

My students get a combination of real-time coaching and personal customized video lessons. We start out with a goal -usually a song you want to learn- decide when we'll meet, and figure out how long it's going to take to get it the way you want.

A Graduate of Berkee College of Music, he has over 30 years of experience teaching and performing. He specializes in Contemporary and Classical Guitar. Lessons focus on the application of Music Theory to Guitar to help students acquire strong compositional and songwriting skills, knowledge of chord construction, the ability to play scales proficiently, and gain necessary skills needed for solo improvisation. In addition to a wealth of teaching experience, he has toured extensively throughout North America and Europe and has numerous songwriting credits on international releases.
