The vocal lessons were very interesting. The most part was given to exercises for breathing.Everything in a playful form, funny voice exercises, for young children -
it's very important. My daughter started to feel confident in her voice, began to sing relaxed, learned to hear music.

Hello there!
I am a working actor with over 20 years of professional experience. Prior to moving to LA, I worked in Chicago theaters for 7 years and served as an adjunct faculty member at Cal State Fullerton for another 7 years teaching beginning acting classes. I am a member of Actors' Equity; the union of professional stage actors and I hold an MFA in Acting from Cal State Fullerton. Recent stage credits include South Coast Repertory, New Swan Shakespeare Festival, Capital Stage Sacramento, Golden Thread Productions, and The Great River Shakespeare Festival.
I'm particularly adept at working with complicated and classical language, including Shakespeare. I'll help you make sense of the language in a way that is actionable and dynamic to watch. My approach is Stanislavski based, but I tend to incorporate other methods as well.
My goal is always to give my students the tools to empower themselves to create strong choices that are supported by the text. I love working with ...

So yes! He was great! ALSO the logistical stuff that you don’t want to think about (sound/lights) were magically adjusted to perfection.
Just sayin’. He’s great.

Book NowI believe that acting is for everybody! Through acting, we grow our critical thinking abilities and analysis skills, as well as our ability to communicate effectively. Additionally, acting encourages self-confidence, empathy, and creativity. And of course, practicing a form of self-expression helps to blow off steam and decrease stress.
As an actor, I have experience with a variety of styles, including Shakespeare and Improv, and I am familiar with a number of methods, including Stanislavski, Meisner, Chekhov, Hagen, Alexander Technique, and Margolis Method. I believe in mind-body connection and building an actor’s toolbox for independent performers. I have taught actors of all ages and interests.

Hear From TakeLessons Students
Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

Second of all, when we did our first session, I had to deal with a rough technical patch of trying g to join in for the session. He had no problem helping me with this technical glitch rather than allowing TakeLessons (who I was unable to reach because of matainace issues), to handle it. He helped 5he TakeLessons team. A plus Randy! Though I had to finally use another device to finally join the session, Randy was still willing to have patience and help me with the tech problem.
Lastly, Randy brought a warm feeling to the session and yet sincere. He made me feel welcomed, which opened me up more during this session. This helped because I am uncomfortable with improv but want to get better. He understood this and gave a real honest approach. Also, he informed me that we were going to get a gist of my performance level and work from there. Furthermore, we were going to ease our way into improvement. This gave me alot more balance than other improv classes. He is even willing to give me a little homework that I can practice in prep for next week.
Randy is very encouraging and I enjoyed our first session. I'm exited for next week!"

So, you’re ready for your first improv audition. You know enough to give gifts, to not ask questions, and, when all else fails, to say, “Yes and…” (You do know all these things, right?) If you’re reading up on improv auditions and comedy shows in Chicago, you’re already on the right track, even if you know nothing. Auditions for improv groups can differ quite a bit from other kinds. The process can be intimidating but the possible rewards, namely lifelong personal friendships and pro …
