I learn so much through guitar lessons with Judd! He gives a clear but flexible guide to practicing and reaching goals, and uses different modes of learning (written, verbal, demonstration, etc) to make sure I fully grasp the concepts.

His skill combined with his passion for musical expression makes the journey so much more approachable and fun, and it's contagious! It really feels like I'm taking lessons with a friend. Not to mention the dramatic increase in my musical library from this guy

Whether you are completely new to strings or looking to take your skills to the next level, live right next door or 5000 miles away, I don't doubt Judd would make your music journey much more amazing. Rock on!

Amazing teacher. Very understandable and easy to follow. I can totally shred on the guitar now.

For a while i was playing guitar and progressing steadily until eventually i reached a plateau. Taking lessons with Judd helped me break through that barrier and more. I leave each lesson with a deeper understanding of my instrument and some kick ass musical inspiration.

Thanks for everything , Judd!

Anything and everything guitar is my specialty. Electric or acoustic welcome. We will cover the parts of the instrument and why everything is so darn important (like how to stay in tune!).

If you plug your guitar in, we can perfect your guitar's signal flow, pedals, and amplifier settings, too!

I cover all kinds of styles, from simple note and scale picking and open chords, to pop/rock/punk/metal/blues/jazz and more.

Want to learn basic rhythm? lead? fast strumming? how about making those big chords without making your hands hurt? I can help! You'll be jamming along with your favorite songs and with friends in no time.

I typically will teach and write guitar using tablature instead of standard sheet music. These are a simple set of lines and numbers that are much easier to read, and once learned will instantly give you access to thousands of songs.

Also I can show you how to play with a capo or slide, fingerstyle or pick. If you want to learn grunge or sing ...

I've been teaching Acoustic Guitar for 30 years. My students have gone on to play professionally, have their songs on iTunes and teach at the college level. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to identify notes on the neck, start working with open position chords and using those chords to play simple songs. As time goes on you'll be able to play up the neck using movable position chords. (I love teaching this stage. Once the students learns how these chords work and how it saves them time learning, they are always very happy.) I specialize in fingerstyle playing but enjoy pickstyle as well. I typically use Jerry Synder's Guitar Instructor book 1 and 2 to get started. They cover open position chords, moveable chords, pickstyle, fingerstyle, staff notation reading, bass runs, etc. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

I would highly recommend Eric at House of Music for guitar lessons. I am after a certain style of guitar music using finger picking to play for my special needs son. I have learned that not all teachers are familiar with this style. Thankfully, Eric is great at it. He is also teaching me how to read music and not just play the chords or tab which is something I had overlooked. I am thankful he has been able to work with me and my unique set of circumstances and help me reach my goals.

Eric Lesko taught my son Brian guitar 18 years ago when Brian was a teenager. My son got to a point that he didn't want to practice and we were thinking about giving up the lessons. However, Eric got Brian playing whatever kind of music my son was interested in and he continued taking for a few years thereafter, completely enjoying it. When I decided to take up the guitar around eight years ago, Eric was the first and only instructor I thought of. Besides being very capable musically, he is willing to move in any direction that you want in order to keep you interested and helping you achieve your goals. He always has suggestions on ways to approach a particular piece in order to make playing fun and not frustrating. He is also well-versed in the use of technology to make playing a continuum as you gain skills, making a huge difference in being able to get more out of practice. Finally, he is conveniently located in a new facility in downtown Oviedo and he is very flexible with lesson days and times. Eric's greatest asset is that he wants the student to enjoy playing as much as he does!

Some lessons are thematic - modes, signature changes, turnarounds, etc. Crazy impressive guitar skills, explains theory and conjures up relevant examples, very adaptable, and extremely patient.
