*for travel to location lessons please contact me prior to booking to check location and availability, due to designated areas I already have established teaching and only travel to.

Cooking Lessons I conduct online, and all subjects.

I like the combination of relaxed and goal oriented. I like to get to know my students and learn about about expectations and goals they have for themselves. Then I set up a plan that will help them achieve their goals and get them closer to what they want from their lessons. I take into consideration their interest, style, and help them to find their unique learning style.

I do have some guidelines for parents and students. If the student is a minor, I ask that the parent be in the house for the lesson. I also ask that the lesson be performed in the Living room or Music Space.

My teacher and I spoke by phone for my first lesson, but her phone had poor reception so I was not able to get the benefit of a full lesson. The second and third lessons were unsuccessful as well I need an alternative so that I can work with another teacher locally. I am not familiar enough with this on line process to be successful with my lessons. I have paid for lessons that i have not received. Please advise.

Personalised and dynamic classes for all levels!
Lessons are shaped to the student's need: grammar, vocabulary, fluency, accent...

About Raquel
Hi!

I have been tutoring students since I was an undergrad back in Spain. While doing so, I realised there are very few better feelings besides the satisfaction of being a part of the improvement of your student's skills and knowledge.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in philology, so I have a deep knowledge on how languages construct themselves and work. Besides, I have a Master's degree in Literary Studies and am currently a PhD student in Literary Studies. But most importantly, I was born in Madrid (Spain) and lived there for over twenty years, so you'll get to learn Spanish and its culture from a truly Madrilenian!

My tutoring approach is based mostly on theory and practice, with a lot of perseverance! I usually like to teach some aspect of the language and then make the student approach it in a practical way. Lessons can be tailor
ed to meet the student's specific needs, though! Each student is different from the rest, and therefore learns in an individual way and at an individual pace. Personal tutoring will always be provided to ensure you're always getting what you need: grammar, vocabulary, fluency, accent...

Raquel is a very meticulous and gifted teacher. She was well prepared from the very first lesson and she always made sure her explanations were clear before moving on. She helped dispel many doubts I carried along in my mind for a long time in Spanish grammar. The classes are fun, friendly, and are aimed at the serious-minded student. Highly recommended.

My method is simple: it is tailored to your needs. If you wish to become fluent in the language in a certain amount of time, we develop a plan that is flexible but should achieve your goal in the available time. If all you want is for your child to get better grades, pass a class or other more limited goal, then we develop a simpler plan to achieve that. Learning another language is always achievable and not that difficult. Hope you try, let's learn!

About Leonardo
Doing what I love: teaching, training, interacting with people. I retired from the army after 28 years of active and reserve military service, so now I have time to do privately what I did for the army for so many years: teach and train people. For many years I presented seminars in Spanish and English in Central and South America as well as the Caribbean on many subjects to adults of all ranks. I am a Florida State Certified Spanish teacher. My Bachelor's degree is in Political Science from the University of Puerto Rico, and I hold minors in History and French. I am (since 1993) a financial adviser (stock broker, RIA) and a licensed insurance agent, which is my other passion and area of expertise. This tutoring for me is not a job; it is a passion, just another way I do what I love - teaching, advising and interacting with people. I
f this sounds like what you want, hope to hear from you soon.

!Hola! I've taught students as young as 13 and adults over 70. I try to help students develop a feel for the meanings of words by using them in real-life contexts. We will tailor your vocabulary and grammar to suit the kind of communication you will most use. Dialogues, pictures, stories, and situational examples will be used to expand your comprehension. My goal is to expand your vocabulary and ensure you use words and expressions in proper context. My students have improved their proficiency in spoken Spanish and been able to communicate or conduct business overseas.

About Marisol
¡Hola! I am a lifelong educator who has worked with students in various capacities, including academic counseling and teaching. I grew up speaking English and Spanish and have been teaching both languages since 2013. I am also a student of languages and I am currently studying French. I can sometimes understand Italian and Portuguese when spoken to me, as their sounds are similar to Spanish. I love teaching because it is an exchange. I often learn as much from my students as they learn from me, as students share career experiences and areas of interest. If you're looking to learn Spanish and want a customized experience, reach out and schedule a lesson!
