I love to teach and I have devoted my life to obtaining the highest music education possible. Learning to play an instrument is fun but it is also challenging. My lessons consist of technique and general music training that include aural skills and music theory. My lessons are a lot of fun because I have high standards, but also maintain a light hearted atmosphere. I teach violin and viola from beginning to advanced levels. My students have ranged in age from 3 to 65 years old and I feel that I can teach students at any age.

Before Elisa moved to Ventura, CA, she was a master student and taught in IP piano school and Kwong Kow Chinese School in Boston, MA. My daughter, Sarina, was one of her students. My daughter loves her so much and made good progress when Elisa was teaching her. Elisa made Sarina relax and comfortable so that she was enjoying the learning process; she emphasized on skill and poses, she tried hard to help the students to get to the best they could. She is reliable as you can talk with her about the timing change and make up lessions. She came to our house to say goodbye and hug Sarina before she left. MATH: As a middle and high school student, I didn't believe I was "good" at math. It wasn't until I was an adult and was hired as a math tutor - and later promoted to Assistant Director - of a tutoring company that I realized that was a belief that had held me back. Many kids and young adults struggle with confidence around math, and having had experience with that myself I use tools that help meet students where they're at and support them in building enthusiasm for math and confidence in themselves. In addition to providing tangible math skills (I have not only been tutoring Algebra, Geometry, SAT prep, elementary and middle school math for 5 years, but have also helped run a math tutoring company in which I built year-long curricula for grades K-12), I help students feel that math is within their grasp and can be approached with curiosity rather than fear and low self-esteem.
