My daughter loves to play with teacher Eleonora. She’s been practicing with her since the past two years and cannot be happier as for results and focus. Eleonora is very patient, attentive, professional and with a fun approach that makes kids at ease and get ready to play.
Tzipora
Eleanora is a patient, kind, warm, and very professional teacher. She is everything you could possible hope for. She adjusted her pace to meet my schedule and kept me on track with a firm but gentle approach. She has reaffirmed my love for music and taught me things (such as improvisation) which I never imagined I could do. In just a few lessons, I feel like I have come so far with Eleanora!
Judith
Eleanor is professional, but also someone I can really relax with. She is calm, patient and really knows what she is doing. My goals for playing harp music are not standard, and she instantly adapted and stepped in just where I wanted to be with my instruction.

I started teaching harp in 2010 as assistant of my professor at the Conservatory, and I am training as Suzuki teacher. My education includes a diploma in Harp Performance from the Conservatory 'Gesualdo da Venosa' in Potenza, Italy, a Bachelor degree in Visual and Performing arts from the Academy 'Pietro Vannucci' in Perugia, Italy, the Master of Music from the Conservatory 'Antonio Buzzolla' in Adria and the Graduate Performance Diploma from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee in Boston, Ma.
During these years I had the opportunity to teach to students of all ages, from beginners to advanced level, and what I love the most about teaching is to guide other musicians into the discovery of their musical world and to explore their innate talents and passions. It's a gift for me to hopefully inspire in them the desire to work towards an endless improvement of technical ease and into feeling a natural state of effortlessness when approaching the instrument, practicing alone, receiving ...

I’ve been teaching harp for 20 years. I cater my teaching style and repertoire to the needs of the individual. I believe this is a partnership, so I try to offer options wherever possible so the student can find the music they feel will help them express themselves. I focus on note reading, but I also examine shapes of chords and relations and patterns in order to make music reading as quick and easy as possible. Depending on the student, these added tricks may be huge way makers in their music making experience.

I offer recitals twice a year. For online students, I host a virtual recital. I believe that the more frequently we perform, the easier it is to overcome stage anxiety. I, personally, battle stage anxiety, so I am able to assist others with managing these same feelings.

My ultimate goal with every student is to foster a love for music, both at the harp and in general.

Phaedra is a professional colleague of mine. I have always been impressed with how well prepared her students are for competitions and auditions. Her attention to technical detail, and musicality show a dedication to, and love of teaching. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she is being extremely careful having her students wash their hands, and use hand sanitizer before, and during lessons.

I took piano lessons from Miss Paedra for about 5 years. I started when I was 6 years old. Miss Paedra is so kind and patient. She really helped me to grow and develop many skills and techniques with piano and theory. The background knowledge I got from Miss Paedra with music and theory altogether ultimately helped me out when starting to learn new instruments like the violin. I still play piano every now and then and I absolutely love and enjoy music. I really appreciate all the work and help I received when taking lessons. Miss Phaedra really helped to push and motivate me to practice and grow, and I know that she truly enjoys working with each of her students and wants the best for them.
Corie
I came to Phaedra as an adult harp student having had about a year experience prior. I had no idea how much I would grow with her as a teacher! She improved my technique, knowledge, skill level, and confidence as a harpist. She truly cares about her students and would find pieces for me to play that were at my level but would keep my interest. My two girls also took piano and harp lessons from her and loved her warmth and encouragement. Coming from no experience at all, I was surprised to see that they were playing Debussy and Chopin after only a few years. Their love for music began with the foundation Phaedra provided and still continues to this day. I was sad once we moved and were no longer to have her as an instructor as we have never found her equal.

As a harp teacher, all of my
students play scales, arpeggios, and technical exercises in
their lessons. I believe having a strong technical base is the foundation for
every part of playing and you can't learn without it. I will set the repertoire
for students according to their technical progress and although I may
take into consideration a student's desires to learn a certain piece, there has
to be time and they have to be ready for it. I have both short term and long
term goals for each student that involve theory, technical ability, and
repertoire both orchestral and solo. Adult students still have to learn
technique, it makes things much more fun and easy six months later, I promise! Beginning students will learn how to read notes, understand basic theory, and technique in a short amount of time, so don't be scared if you have never had a music lesson before.

I require all students make
at least an hour a day commitment to practice. I teach mostly the ...

Alexandra is everything you could ever want in a first-rate teacher: she is inspiring, devoted, nurturing, exciting, knowledgeable, a fierce advocate for her students - the list goes on and on. However, what makes Alexandra truly remarkable is her almost magical ability to instantly spark intrinsic motivation - and a love of music - in all of her students. If you are looking to learn from a truly life-changing teacher, look no further than Alexandra Perdew-Bhatt.

Alexandra has met all my expectations. She is very patient. I feel like we are moving along at a good pace. I had zero musical experience and after only 3 lessons can read basic sheet music and actually have music come out of the piano!! I am enjoying the whole process.

"Years ago, Lydia was kind enough to try Skype lessons with us, given we are 8-9 hours away from her. We sought a Bible believing, Faith-oriented Christian Harp teacher and she was it! We have been delighted with her teaching, her love for music and for working with the students. We have had the privilege of watching her play in the Orchestra and, traveling the 8-ish hours for Spring and Fall recital and hearing her play with the students and encourage the students on their playing in the recitals. She even recently coached us through a pedal harp purchase and her help was invaluable. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for piano and or Harp instruction."

"I enjoyed my first harp lesson with Liudmila so much! She is a very sweet lady, and a very patient, knowledgable, and professional teacher. She taught me the correct posture and hand positions at the first lesson. I was struggeling with the hand positions first, but she didn't mind to explain them to me over and over again. She also plaid some tunes to me, and I could tell that she is an awsome harpist. I am very glad that I can learn from her. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn from a professional harpist."

Lessons were enjoyable and relaxed while still being focused and informative. I am very happy with the progress I have made with Anne and would recommend her as a teacher."

"I am a beginner harp student at the age of 64, and also a Professor with fairly high expectations. I wasn't sure what to expect from a young teacher like Becca. Within minutes I could tell she is a natural at teaching the harp. What impressed me the most was that she understands every person learns differently. She is sensitive and thus listens to the student's comments and intuitively knows how to respond in the best way. She also has a lot of patience - being a perfectionist I wanted to repeat over and over certain movements and Becca was right there with me, giving me fresh guidance along the way. I learned so much with her and will always remember our lessons with gratitude."
