I was enchanted by Candice's performance when she played Hodel at Northwest Savoyard's production of Fiddler on the Roof. As a stagehand, I was able to listen to all of the shows and to observe the audience at times. She closed the first half of the play with her solo, "Far from the Home I Love." She is leaving her home and family to follow her love, Perchik, who is exiled to Siberia. I marveled as her sweet yet powerful soprano filled the theater and transfixed the audience. Her vocal facility with that song's wide range showed her great gift. Audience after audience was left in stunned 'pin drop' silence for quite some time at the song's conclusion. Then followed an explosion of applause and much dabbing of eyes. The energy was incredible, magical!

Candice is highly skilled. She always takes extra care to make sure I am using my voice correctly. As a result of her teaching, I am consistently able to sing with an expanded range without any discomfort. She has expanded my abilities across multiple genres of music and helped me become a more confident singer.

For many years I sang in my school Chamber Choir and took voice lessons. The choir performed regularly in pubic and in statewide competitions. I also have years of experience teaching the basics of singing in a low pressure way.
Topics we learn about include breathing and breath control, pitch and intervals, keys and scales and singing harmony. I can accompany a student while they sing, and hopefully teach them the basics of accompanying themselves.

Piano lessons with David are really enjoyable. I chose him because of all the reviews that mentioned how patient and encouraging he is, and they were absolutely right. I'm an adult beginner and I was afraid to start lessons for a while because I can be an embarrassingly slow learner, but now I'm looking forward to them. Another thing that I think makes him a great teacher is how he provides specific feedback. Highly recommend.

I searched for an excellent upright bass teacher for a good while. Then I found David Lloyd. David is patient, humorous, friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. He carefully taught me all the necessary groundwork to enable me to continue on my own for a while. In a few months I will, without question, continue my studies with David. I would, without hesitation, recommend David to anyone interested in seriously studying the Upright Bass.

"Fun to work with and very knowledgable

I am a contemporary singer trying to improve my technique. Working with Ben has been great because he is so knowledgable and produces fast results. After hearing me sing for the first time he was already able to tell what I was doing wrong and what I could work on to fix it. I would recommend Ben to anyone who wants to improve their singing technique. He will help you to sing higher and longer without straining your voice. Thanks Ben!"

"We have been absolutely thrilled with the results that we've seen in our two boys' abilities since working with Toni for the past year and a half. They are both in their high school's show choir and we couldn't be happier with this year's accomplishments. Our freshman earned major solos in his group's competition set and has also earned a spot in next year's Advanced Show Choir group which mostly consists of seniors. As far as our senior son, Toni helped him with his confidence in his singing ability, and helped him secure a solo in his final show choir performance. He also joined a band with his friends and was more than thrilled to be selected as the front man.
We asked our boys if they wanted to take a break for the summer, they both said "No" and that they wanted to continue with Toni throughout their summer vacation.
Thank you Toni - you're simply the best!"

"I have had three lessons with Deborah so far and in this short amount of time I already feel like I'm learning so much. What I love about her is that she really caters the lesson to you. If I'm not grasping something, she'll change her approach so that I can understand. She can be nit picky, but I think it's a plus because it means she won't sit there listening to you do something wrong. She'll stop you and correct you so that you don't fall into bad habits and potentially end up damaging your vocal cords.

She's very encouraging and will point out what you're doing well along with what you need to work on. At the end of each session she asks you to tell her what you like about the lesson/what she can improve on to help you for the next lesson. You can tell she cares about her students. On my first lesson, she said I'm welcome to send her recordings or text her with questions to avoid practicing anything incorrectly in between sessions. I'm looking forward to my fourth lesson coming up this week and would highly recommend her to other students."
