I spent years working in New York City with acclaimed Metropolitan Opera bass baritone Mark Oswald. Prior to my work with Mark I received a bachelors degree in Music Performance with an emphasis on opera from Portland State University.
My teaching is rooted in body awareness and emotional connectivity. I use techniques I learned and developed over years teaching movement (barre3). I also use techniques I learned from taking music lessons and coaching sessions from some of the most reputable artists in the opera world.
I write my own music and I also reinterpret classical pieces to make them more accessible to modern audiences; I have a unique ability to cut to the essence of a song.

Experienced Piano teacher available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of musical skills. I am classically trained, have played in blues/rock bands, and have some jazz improv experience. I like to use the Faber method books, since they include many fun teacher/student duets. I enjoy helping people to find the fun in playing piano!

I would have given 5 stars if she had got a real piano, not an electronic one.

I have coached with some of the best in LA, NYC and West Palm Beach and am ready to share! Classical voice is a serious business but that doesn't mean it can't be loads of fun! Let's get that voice free from top to bottom. When it's free you can use it to express all the things your artist soul is longing to say!
I'm passionate about teaching voice and it shows in my students. My students are touring internationally, signing with management, being played on the radio, participating in national singing competitions, singing for films and audiobooks, being chosen for prestigious training programs and getting

Born and raised in north Minneapolis, Alex began taking guitar lessons at age 11 and after high school graduation was accepted to both Berklee and McNally Smith College. Alex graduated from McNally and also studied classical music in Germany at Musikhochschule Luebeck. Alex believes that well-round
During lessons we worked on sight reading, ear training, memorizing chords and scales, different picking and strumming patterns, theory lessons, and anything else that I discovered and wanted to try.

I have been teaching privately and in colleges/schools for over 15 years. For all levels, I will help you develop excellent technique on the saxophone and build a strong foundation in music theory. For advanced/intermediate students, I also teach jazz improvisation, if you’re interested! Please bring in the music and songs you want to work on. I believe lessons should be fun and interesting while you learn great stuff, too!
Hi, I’m a professional tenor and soprano saxophonist. I graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelors in Jazz Performance. I also have an MA in Jazz History and Research from Rutgers University. I enjoy helping students to develop improved technique, sight reading, and musicality.
I’m an adult and have no interest in traditional approaches to learning an instrument; I’ve been there, done that and found it not only terribly uninspiring (twinkle little star anyone?) but In every way overly difficult by trying to mix too many skills together at the same time. Before you even have a relationship with and “feel for” your instrument and have the technical skills to play it even half way decently, you’re trying to understand how long to hold a dotted eighth note! This is the reason a lot of people quit playing before they even get started…
Dan knew exactly what I was talking about, met me there and then proceeded to get me to do more in one lesson than I probably would have done in a week on my own, and in the way I want to learn!! He knows how to meet you where you are, find your self prescribed limits and then push you through them! He’s truly skilled in all the ways a teacher needs to be effective with a student!

I had violin lessons with Kan for a few months now. She is an amazing teacher. Her lessons are always fun and easy to follow. I learned so much from her.
I would definitely recommend her if someone is looking for a violin teacher."
I have been taking lessons for the piano with Karen R. for about a month now and am very impressed. She is a very patient instructor and makes sure that I understand not only what she wants me to do, but why. She is a very encouraging person to learn from and I greatly enjoy my time with her."
I didn't realize so much could be accomplished in an hour, but I left our first lesson with an understanding about where I'm at with my voice, what is special about my voice, and feeling really excited and encouraged with where my voice can go. Vanessa was VERY patient with me, as I'm very much out of practice, but it took her no time at all to pin point my trouble spots and she quickly had other suggestions if certain exercises didn't work for my voice. After our session, I drove away in my car just beaming and I couldn't stop singing. Can't wait for our next session!"
Thinking about taking online guitar lessons? Read on as online teacher Justine D. explains what type of student excels best with online lessons, what to expect, and more: If you live in a rural area, play a difficult-to-find instrument, or are interested in playing a specific musical style, it may be hard to find a teacher in your area that fits your goals.
