I had ten lessons with Bridget and from the first lesson, everything was great! She sets up her lessons great and is so so helpful in warming your voice up and overall helping your voice grow throughout each lesson. She has a great attitude and I really really enjoyed singing with her, everything about it was a great experience. 100% recommend to anyone who wants to learn more about their voice!!

I’ve been singing contemporary and gospel music for most of my life and just recently decided to take my vocal skills to another level. I started taking voice lessons from Bridget and she taught me so much. She has a way to making you feel very comfortable while still not being afraid to stretch you vocally. Although my style differed from hers, she focused on the technique versus style. She’s so much fun and such a sweet heart. I’m very glad I took lessons from her and completely recommend her for anyone!

Our voice is such a unique instrument, because it is inside of us. It makes the act of singing amazing and hard at the same time, because we all have different instruments and there is no general rule that works for everyone in the same way. When I teach, I always take into consideration the uniqueness of the voice I am working with, and this requires a great deal of attention and sensitivity. I am very passionate about teaching and my goal is to share my passion and my knowledge, in order to acquire the tools to develop that beautiful instrument that our voice is!

About Alessia

I am an Italian -American Soprano, with Master degrees in piano and voice performance. I have been teaching piano and voice for the past 10 years. I teach italian as well. It is such an amazing language to learn! I believe that it is never too early or too late to develop a new talent. I love musi

I have been taking Italian lessons with Alessia for the past 5 months. Each week, I look forward to meeting her with excitement. Alessia keeps the lessons light and fun and goes at a pace that is comfortable for the learner. She is very accommodating both in desired lesson plans and availability. In addition, she provides cultural insight and praise and possesses a great deal of patience and positivity. I highly recommend her.
Lauren
I came to Alessia's lessons with little experience using proper vocal technique and admittedly as a voice student well outside the usual age range - which meant that we had to work on unlearning some long standing bad habits. Alessia has been extremely patient in reinforcing the elements of good vocal technique. At the same time, she is great at communicating what she wants to see me work on and how well I'm succeeding in those areas. And most importantly, I can hear the improvement in my singing! Highly recommend, especially for those interested in singing musical theater or classical pieces.

She’s packed with a lot of information!

Semi-retired now, I have over 50 years of training as a professional tenor soloist who's performed all over the world and vocal teacher.

I'd like to pass on my knowledge to all vocalists who are either new to singing or want to train their vocal chords for classical or operatic music.

Sadly, my Chinese (Mandarin) is much better than my English, so if you can put up with that, you get complimentary Chinese lessons as a result!

My parents forced me to start singing lessons. I thought I would thoroughly hate it, but it was very easy to learn from George. I could tell he has been teaching students for ages by the way he helped me fix my head voice singing. His English isn't the best, but most of the teaching was through sound and tone, so it didn't make an impact on the learning experience.
Bob
Very patient teacher who helped me expand my upper range from G to a Bb. He also helped me (with a non operatic voice) learn how to sing Italian classics with an operatic voice.

I believe in the extraordinary power of music to communicate, to inspire and, often, to heal. That belief underlies all my work. I’ve been teaching Broadway style singing to adults and kids for over ten years, focusing on how to produce a big, beautiful, and vocally safe sound. My students run the gamut from musical theater and opera professionals to kids and total beginners.

My goal is to help you find the power to express through singing your unique self. It doesn't matter whether your voice is professional quality or whether it's even "good" in the conventional sense. It's YOUR voice. It has its own sound and characteristics, its own particular beauty, and the world needs to hear you!

I have advanced training and expertise in the function of the voice, but the most important qualities I offer as a teacher are the simple human ones: understanding, patience, imagination, kindness, enthusiasm, respectfulness and absolute commitment to helping you meet your vocal goals.

About Nancy

I'm a classically trained soprano who has had the great good fortune to sing leading roles in masterpieces with such companies as the Caramoor Music Festival, Glimmerglass Opera and the Aspen Music Festival. I also have undergraduate and master's degrees from Brown University and the Manhattan Scho

Nancy is both a fantastic person and teacher! After being with a voice teacher that led me to harm my voice Nancy has helped me rehabilitate and find strength in my voice. She's always happy to work on anything I bring to her and has a vast array of knowledge. I've been able to increase my upper and lower range with consistency and know that it'll only get better from here. If you're considering, just go with her!

My 8 year old daughter just had her first singing lesson with Julia. I was concerned because though my daughter has great enthusiasm for singing, she has much to learn regarding pitch and musicality. Julia was remarkable with her! She was so positive, patient, and effective at helping my daughter learn to hear pitch. We're definitely sticking with Julia!

"Fay is such an amazing teacher! I got into Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School thanks to her. Best Teacher I've had, she helps train your voice and goes through the vocal anatomy so you understand techniques such as proper breathing, posture, coordination, grounding, acting, diction...etc. I've been her student for about a year three years now and I have to say that my voice has improved so much as a performer all thanks to her! If you get the chance, at least take a class, you will not regret it!"

"I have the best experience learning how to use my body and vocal ability through LoriAnn’s expert teachings.

She’s extremely encouraging and knowledgeable and most importantly through times of my lack of understanding her ability to encourage and inspire me as I continue to trust her training and teaching always prevails that I can accomplish what she knows and believes I am capable of doing.

In singing, we are using an instrument and LoriAnn’s expert training fine tunes that instrument with precision and kindness.

My 14 year old son has been taking some piano, mostly guitar and now voice with him for about 2 years. The growth we have witnessed is outstanding. Steven is bringing out the very best in our son - helping him grow in both musical knowledge and self -confidence. Thank you!
