I received a Bachelor's in Music Education and Performance from Drake University in Flute and Piano. Currently pursuing a Master's in Music Therapy.

At Drake, I received a musical scholarship covering 80% of my tuition costs.
I was also honored to sit as Principal Flute in both the Drake Symphony Orchestra and the Drake Wind Symphony, the top performing groups at the University.

I started to play the flute and piano in second grade, and
my love and passion for music have only grown and matured since then.

My first piano lesson turned out to be so much more than I could have ever expected. My teacher, Kristin is so engaged in the lesson and so very well prepared. The Pedagogical Foundations Of EnglishCentral

Melody Tai is an accomplished harpist, dancer, and pianist who has performed throughout the United States and Europe.

She has been on stage since the age of four and has performed on some of the world’s largest stages including center stage at the 2015 Grammy Awards with Stevie Wonder and Usher. Melody loves performing in high pressure situations whether it’s in an orchestral, a pop/rock environment, a professional chamber group, or it’s for a solo recital or competition.

Aside from performing, Melody also loves teaching and sharing her artistic crafts. Melody was an incredibly kind and patient teacher. There were multiple times when I couldn't understand the material right away, but she would work with me until I was comfortable with it. She was really understanding with my struggles in math. I would highly recommend her as an instructor.

Melody is as lovely as she is talented. Not only does she understand the harp inside and out, but her playing is like nothing I've ever heard. While she can of course play classic tunes, she is also innovative with the harp, tackling some of today's most popular hits. Most importantly, however, Melody is patient. While the harp is her first passion and she is well beyond her years, she is not only willing, but eager to share her talent with others. It has been a pleasure learning from someone who has in time become a friend. I would recommend Melody to any and everyone with the slightest passion for harp. While it is a joy learning from her, the greatest treat is hearing her play. Thanks for everything Mels!
