She has learn Technics from Bram on the Tenor Saxophone where later it comes up in her music class at her Elementary School Music Orchestra. Swati is planning to be with Bram thru her Baritone Teaching and Soprano Saxophone Teachings, when my Daughter transforms over to the other two Saxophones. I have been teaching clarinet for nearly thirty years (beginning to college level), and particularly enjoy teaching out of the Klosé method in a way that is interactive and enjoyable. While learning solid technique, we will include resonator fingerings for the best possible tone, and think beyond the wonderful clarinet literature waiting for you, as we unlock your personality in the chameleon quality of the clarinet. I encourage students to also play by ear and learn cultural traditional music from all over the world.

About Aage
Oregon native Aage (pronounced like Owen without N) has been teaching woodwinds to students of all ages for thirty years. He has performed throughout the US and Denmark, as well as Iceland (International Viola Congress) and Holland (World Bass Clarinet Conference). He taught for many years at The College of Idaho and Northwest Nazarene University, and performed for over twenty years with the Boise Philharmonic and Darkwood Consort. He has released three CDs on Portland-based Rampur Records, received a 2007 Performing Arts Fellowship from the Idaho Commission on the Arts, and is the leading scholar and performer of the douçaine (early oboe). He teaches both modern and historical winds, with the unique twist of encouraging students of both modern instruments such as clarinet or saxophone, and early instruments such as recorder and double-re
eds, to engage in everything from medieval and traditional music to jazz and classical.

Aage enjoys teaching students of all ages, from beginning to college level, including homeschoolers and adult beginners.

My teaching starts with a good foundation for sound and technique and expands to teach music that is fin and inspiring to each individual student. If the student would like to learn to play jazz, I have a method which will shaves off years of hard work and frustration. All my teaching is geared towards giving the student good basics along with a practical application to today's music scene.

About Rick
I’ve always loved teaching from a young age; finding new ways to break down complex ideas and techniques and making it fun and easy is something that gives me a lot of satisfaction. If you want to play your favorite songs on saxophone, I can save you years of frustration and slow progress.

At the bottom of this page, I have a YouTube video of 3 of my sax students' incredibly fast progress. None of them had ever played saxophone, You can do that too! It’s easy and fun. No boring scales, exercises and dumb tunes. Just a simple, easy way to becoming a great sounding sax player in 1/10th the time. This method has worked for over 1000 students and works 100% of the time if you commit to practice.

I guarantee if you commit to practicing 30 minutes 5 days a week for 4 months and you don't see the success in the video I will give you ALL
of your money back. I have 3 Grammy nominations but the proof of what i can do for you is in this video. Search this title on Youtube:
"Demo of My Sax Students Improvising Progress- 5th lesson to 16th lesson" or just click the video at the bottom of this page.

I've played clarinet for 8 years and in high school was admitted to the Symphony Band via audition; I also performed in various small ensembles and received private lessons for 2-3 years.

About Natalie
After graduating high school at the top of my class, I got full funding for an economics degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where I was born. I was very busy in college--my extracurriculars included 2 semesters abroad (Spain, Singapore), writing an honors thesis, being a consultant to the academic advising office, and being president of an honor society; besides this I worked my butt off in classes and graduated with a 3.7.

Besides academics, I am super interested in fitness, general wellness and psychology.

I would love to talk it out with you wherever our learning interests intersect!

I have been teaching Woodwinds for quite a few years and I love it! My students have seen results from learning to love to practice, to competitive success in solo competitions. When you first come you will start to think about music in a simpler way and will gain the confidence and understanding you need to play how you would like. Normally, I use The Rubank Method to develop a lot of technique in younger students. For those playing jazz or folk, we do a lot of play alongs while focusing on specific concepts.

About Henrik
Hello my name is Henrik! I have been playing the saxophone ever since I first picked one up in grade school. I consider myself a goofy individual who takes my instrument very seriously. I have been teaching private students for about eight years. I am currently getting my degree in Saxophone Performance from BYU. I love it when my students learn to have fun while practicing and gain confidence in performing. No matter your schedule or location, I am determined to make a difference and help people improve. I have a flexible class schedule that allows you to pick a time that works best for you.

I find it most successful to prepare a lesson for each student before hand, rather than going over the same thing with every one of them. You can expect a well rounded range of exercises and practice techniques. From motif development, t
une memorization and progressive patterns, to theory studies, music analyzation and playing along with the great recordings with the pros.

I have a bachelor's degree in clarinet performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music plus 2 years teaching experience. I'm dedicated to offering beginning and intermediate clarinetists practical, customized guidance on technique, equipment, musicianship, literature, and more.

About Vanessa
I'm a professional clarinetist with a passion for helping beginning and intermediate clarinetists achieve their music goals. I have a bachelor's in Clarinet Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music plus two years private teaching experience. I work full time in an office in D.C. and teach clarinet part time, because I love it!

I specialize in fostering an autonomous, flexible learning environment, which means I recommend and advise based on each student's unique needs and objectives, rather than control and demand based on a pre-determined course. Especially for younger students, I encourage ownership of goals.

Lessons with me will always be enjoyable, because I believe people learn best when they're free from stress. I'm happy to match the pace at which you want to learn. Whether you're looking for guidance on techniqu
e, equipment, clarinet literature, competitions, general musicianship, or all of the above, I'm excited to share my expertise and love for the clarinet with you!

I welcome questions and would be happy to chat with any interested students or parents.

Comprehensive discussion of fundamentals. Emphasis on a jazz approach. I am a doubler, not an orchestral clarinetist. If you seek impeccable classical chops, you may want to look elsewhere. But if you seek a strong foundation from a doubler's perspective, look no further!

About Mike
I've toured the world and lived to tell the tale!

Being on the road can be arduous and taxing, but it is the adventure of a lifetime. I've done it all, from roughing it up and down the eastern seaboard in a minivan with the Indie Rock band Busman's Holiday, to playing big stages in Botswana, South Africa, and the United Kingdom with Zimbabwean music legend Thomas Mapfumo and his band Blacks Unlimited. I even got my sea legs performing in the orchestra aboard the Island Princess and the Grand Princess cruise liners! The cruise ships sent me around the Mediterranean, across the Atlantic, through the Carribbean to Colombia, along the Panama Canal, up the coast of Mexico, and finally dodging icebergs on the Alaskan Coastline! And last but not least, I got the chance to play cutting-edge jazz at festivals in Taiwan and China.

As a friend of
mine once said, "Your horn is a magic wand. Just point it the direction you want to go, and it will take you there!" Truer words were ne'er spoken. If you want your music to take you places, studying with me is a great place to start.

Come join the music, and let's go places!

Developing and understanding Clarinet fundamentals are crucial to Clarinet playing no matter the level of playing. Focusing and cultivating good fundamental habits will lead to a students success. Finding the joy, love, and passion in music is just as important while developing good habits.

These good habits can be developed through the help with Band and Orchestral music, Solo Repertoire, and basic method books. Whether you're just starting to learn clarinet, looking for more guidance, or even looking to re-kindle your love for the clarinet, I can help you achieve your clarinet goals.

About Michael
I am currently a Senior Clarinet performance major at DePaul University studying with the now retired Principal Clarinet of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Larry Combs.

Not only is teaching one of my favorite parts of music, it is a very important part of music. Lessons will include the development of skills such as tone production, embouchure, proper technique, knowledge of Clarinet repertoire, reading music and much more that is equally important to successful Clarinet playing.
