Picture this....you get home after a long day of work or school, you feel a little stressed out by the world, wishing you had more time to get the endless list of things done and more energy to do them.....

Instead of turning on Netflix and zoning out, you pick up your guitar and play your favorite song.

Feels pretty great right?!

Mathew is wonderful! My son loved his first lesson!

Mathew has made learning fun and stress free for my son. Without Mat's patience and support I do not believe my son would be taking lessons for more than a couple of months much less a year later. My son looks forward to lessons, he trusts Mat, and considers Mat a friend. I can not praise Mat enough for all his contributions to my son's new skill and his part in the building of my son's self esteem!

I have a lot of practical and professional music experience to bring to my lessons, playing with many different bands across many genres. in addition, for my intermediate and advanced students, I accompany them on bass and drums to help them learn to play with other parts of a rhythm section when their goal is to play with other musicians. I'd also say that I take care to craft my teaching to what my students actually want to be able to accomplish, and find ways to teach them not only technique, but theory that is specifically helpful to what they want to be able to do.

About Marshall

I have ten years of teaching and performing/touring experience ranging across a number of different genres, and I was trained at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. I currently play for multiple groups in Philadelphia including one of my own called The Lion and the Badger.

Marshall has been working with my son on his acoustic guitar for nearly a year -- both online and in person. He is a terrific teacher -- Marshall is patient, kind, and engaging. He is readily able to assess my son's continuing abilities and tailor the lesson to his specific needs. Marshall is also a great communicator and is always quickly in touch if we need to reschedule or change lesson times.

Do you plan to play electric, acoustic or classical guitar? These are a few things to consider. I'm happy to help you by answering questions, advising you on where to buy a guitar, how much to spend and helping you find sheet music. I can't wait to help you learn to rock out on guitar!

Really enjoyed my first lesson. I got a lot of applicable tips for my future processing. Jessica is very talented. Hoping my next set of lessons so be just as promising!
Ron
Jessica is a virtuoso on the ukulele. She has the patience of a saint with less than adept students. Yet she is insistent, in a gentle way, about instilling correct form in her students' approach to the uke. In addition, she is a walking encyclopedia of songs that span the range from traditional to standards to current day favorites, and from country to r&B to rock and roll.
James
I am so fortunate to have found Jessica to teach the Ukulele. She is sweet, kind and truly a pleasure. very unassuming yet so focused on my particular needs when I lose my way. I strongly recommend her. I am so fortunate. Wait, did I say that already? Thank you Jessica.

"I consider myself an intermediate guitar player. I know a few chords, and have learned a few songs, but I didn’t really understand how to improvise. Rusty is a great teacher and has really helped me understand various aspects of music theory. I have definitely improved as a guitarist and a musician. I highly recommend Rusty for all skill levels"

"Exceptional, musically rich learning

Nick is a terrific, terrific teacher whose main goal is to nurture my son’s love of music and instill the idea that learning to play guitar or drums is not hard, it’s “unfamiliar.” Robby has been learning from Nick since he was 7 years old. I love watching Nick balance solid technique with fun. Like taking a contemporary song that my son loves and teaching him to play a portion of it. Or inviting another student (or sometimes even a professional musician) to sit in on a lesson and jam with Robby. Nick is teaching the whole person, not just their fingers on the guitar. He really cares and I would recommend him to anyone!"

"Stacey is an amazing teacher. He's is both inspiring and patient, helping me understand music and theory while still keeping it fun. He's helped me to fix some really bad habits from never taking lessons before and helping my wife who's never played at all. He knows when to push us to try something a little more complicated but can sense when we're getting overwhelmed and need to take a break and play something fun and just rock out. I would highly recommend him as we look forward to each week. Stacey is as passionate in his teaching as he is playing live..."

"I really enjoy taking lessons with Ryan! He took time to really listen to and understand what my goals are and is helping me work towards them, which is no small feat for a complete beginner. He explains new concepts in ways I can understand and I feel comfortable asking for clarification if there is something I'm having trouble with. He also gives me a variety of different exercises (chords, scales, picking, strumming, full songs) to keep things interesting and to keep me engaged. I also like that he adds in a little music theory so that I know why I'm doing what I'm doing. In all Ryan is kind, chill, accommodating, talented, and thoughtful, so I would definitely recommend him as a teacher."

"I had the opportunity to learn with Mr. McLaren in high school a couple years ago, around the time I had decided to first pick up a guitar. Along with the essential building blocks every guitarist/musician need to go on about their personal endeavors of understanding the fret board and works of music theory, Charlie would always display a great deal of support, chill company and attitude. This guy has an appreciation for music and guitar that pushed me to open my mind anytime he spoke, whether it was during lessons or down time, it was always genuine. You'll take a lot with you with even one conversation with this guy. Fun teacher and a cool friend for sure."

10 Ways to Trick Yourself Into Practicing Guitar
