I started teaching harp in 2010 as assistant of my professor at the Conservatory, and I am training as Suzuki teacher. My education includes a diploma in Harp Performance from the Conservatory 'Gesualdo da Venosa' in Potenza, Italy, a Bachelor degree in Visual and Performing arts from the Academy 'Pietro Vannucci' in Perugia, Italy, the Master of Music from the Conservatory 'Antonio Buzzolla' in Adria and the Graduate Performance Diploma from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee in Boston, Ma.
During these years I had the opportunity to teach to students of all ages, from beginners to advanced level, and what I love the most about teaching is to guide other musicians into the discovery of their musical world and to explore their innate talents and passions. It's a gift for me to hopefully inspire in them the desire to work towards an endless improvement of technical ease and into feeling a natural state of effortlessness when approaching the instrument, practicing alone, receiving ...

I'm a professional harpist who graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Music with extensive teaching experience in the United States and Belgium. I am offering harp lessons to students of all backgrounds, levels, and ages.
I am currently in the process of completing my Doctor of Musical Arts at the CUNY Graduate Center. I hope to transfer the skills and knowledge I have obtained from working with some of the most renowned harpists to my own students.
Teaching is a passion for me. Whether you are just taking lessons for fun, or whether you are serious about creating a future professional career, I will be equally attentive to your needs. I like to ensure that my students progress during the lesson, but not at the expense of having fun! I believe that a relaxed atmosphere is essential to the learning experience.
**NB: Due to COVID restrictions, I will most likely be teaching virtually until summer or fall 2021, at which point I hope to resume in-person lessons in NYC. ...

I’ve been teaching harp for 20 years. I cater my teaching style and repertoire to the needs of the individual. I believe this is a partnership, so I try to offer options wherever possible so the student can find the music they feel will help them express themselves. I focus on note reading, but I also examine shapes of chords and relations and patterns in order to make music reading as quick and easy as possible. Depending on the student, these added tricks may be huge way makers in their music making experience.
I offer recitals twice a year. For online students, I host a virtual recital. I believe that the more frequently we perform, the easier it is to overcome stage anxiety. I, personally, battle stage anxiety, so I am able to assist others with managing these same feelings.
My ultimate goal with every student is to foster a love for music, both at the harp and in general.

I have been teaching harp for over 10 years. I teach with a strong emphasis in technique, employing mostly Salzedo styles with a few French styles in hand and arm position.
I have a series of books from which I teach for all ages, all abilities. At any point I encourage the student to learn songs they like, creating an enriched atmosphere of learning.
I teach music theory, exercises, and sight-reading alongside our weekly studies of pieces and songs. I will help you find the right materials so you can enjoy your lessons!
It is my goal to have students perform pieces with comfort, strength and for memory.
My teaching philosophy is to cultivate a love for music while learning the best way to approach the instrument and learning how to play well. Like any good goal, hard work and patience are needed, but ultimately love and the pursuit of making music.
