Origami should be enjoyable! With the help of these lessons, you’ll see that it’s easy to create complex and elegant Origami models! Each lesson is between 30 and 45 minutes and gets you from the flat piece of paper to the completed model!
You get a great sense of satisfaction from being able to pick up a simple piece of paper and making it into a piece of art!

Origami (Ori meaning "to fold", and Kami meaning "paper")
is the art of paper folding, which is often associated with Japanese culture. In modern usage, the word "origami" is used as an inclusive term for all folding practices, regardless of their culture of origin.

There is nothing quite like the joy you get from transforming a plain square piece of paper into a container, animal, flower, etc.

It still puts a smile on your faces when you complete an origami. :)

I`m a current high school student, and he is teaching me various Japanese expressions, and I've learned many things about Japanese grammar while doing lessons with him. My listening and speaking ability have also improved a lot. He also always answers all of my questions about Japanese with kindness.

Toshi-san is a very positive and effective tutor. He diligently and thoroughly prepares materials for each lesson (tailored to the student's level), assigns homework, and provides meaningful explanations about areas of difficulty or confusion. As well, his bright and cheerful disposition is very encouraging to the student.

I have been an Origami enthusiast for almost 30 years. I started with cranes and then got into lots of animals and most recently- large, multi-modular geodesic spheres using 30 sheets of paper or more.

I have a large collection of Origami books and have made my own models as well.

Ms. Qi is a very accessible and diligent teacher. My son can be difficult, but she found ways to quickly connect with him and get him to open up. She accommodated his need for assistance with his regular work, but encouraged us to "start again" with Chinese which is probably a good idea. Very much appreciate her experience and enthusiasm.

Whether you want to try origami for the first time, or take your folding to the next level, I would love to teach you.

Just by folding paper, you can create beautiful pieces of art in five, twenty-five, or one hundred and five steps, from a simple fish to a three-headed dragon. The art of Origami truly has no bounds.

I'll work with you to master the common folds and bases, learn all kinds of models, and show you how to read diagrams so you can keep folding on your own, and even try your own original designs. In addition to creating pieces of art, origami exercises hand-eye coordination and can feel as calming as meditation. After every session, you will come away with amazing paper creations!

I've been practicing origami for over 20 years. My love of animals as a kid inspired me to learn origami so I could fold my very own paper zoo. Now, I teach students of all ages and skill levels to fold. I've also been a theatre educator for nearly a decade and I love empowering the ...

Jeff was such an amazing teacher. He came to our home and even brought the special paper with him. Our son who is 7 and his friends (8-9yrs) thoroughly enjoyed learning how to fold origami and it was a creative fun way to spend the afternoon. We hope to do it again soon.
