"If you love the look of Origami but were worried that it seems complicated to make, then this course is for you
Origami should be enjoyable! With the help of these lessons, you’ll see that it’s easy to create complex and elegant Origami models! Each lesson is between 30 and 45 minutes and gets you from the flat piece of paper to the completed model!
You get a great sense of satisfaction from being able to pick up a simple piece of paper and making it into a piece of art!

Rich was happy after the first class and he started to wonder, would Kelvin be available to teach him a guitar lessons as well (we thought it is a great beginning) :)

Also, Kelvin immediately pointed out that the violin we have picked is too small for Rich, where other teacher didn't say anything about it. We changed the size and it helped a lot with holding violin and feeling more comfortable. Thank you !

Kelvin is a great teacher. He understands and teaches in a way that makes sense to me. If you’ve played the Banjo you know the teacher needs a lot of patience and he does. He provides the right direction and more importantly listens to my questions. There is no doubt in my mind if you have to learn or improve your banjo skills Kelvin can help.

Very pleasant , very intuitive , and very encouraging. He cares and tries hard to accommodate and customize his teaching.

Origami (Ori meaning "to fold", and Kami meaning "paper")
is the art of paper folding, which is often associated with Japanese culture. In modern usage, the word "origami" is used as an inclusive term for all folding practices, regardless of their culture of origin.

There is nothing quite like the joy you get from transforming a plain square piece of paper into a container, animal, flower, etc.

It still puts a smile on your faces when you complete an origami. :)

I feel very comfortable asking any questions and always have a fun time learning Japanese with Toshi-sensei. I wanted a native speaking Japanese tutor to help me with conversations and reading basic hiragana/katakana. His lesson plan is easy to follow: I go through powerpoints, receive printouts & writing practice worksheets. I always look forward to seeing Toshi-sensei and enjoy learning more about the Japanese language with him.

Great first lesson. Kathleen contacted me in advance to find out what I’d like to work on and she was prepared with several options tonight. Her helpful tips on folding and diagram reading were just what I was looking for. We agreed on the next piece and I’m already looking forward to our next lesson. Thank you!

I was looking for a boost to my new hobby with origami, and have had two lessons so far with Kathleen. I couldn't be happier with the lesson experience; her approach is detailed, clear, easy to follow along with and relaxed. She was even folding upside down from her point of view so that I could see from across the table. I was really impressed. There's nothing like learning from a real person. Definitely looking forward to more lessons in the future.

Whether you want to try origami for the first time, or take your folding to the next level, I would love to teach you!

Just by folding paper, you can create beautiful pieces of art in five, twenty-five, or one hundred and five steps, from a simple fish to a three-headed dragon. The art of Origami truly has no bounds.

I'll work with you to master the common folds and bases, learn all kinds of models, and show you how to read diagrams so you can keep folding on your own and even try your own original designs. In addition to creating pieces of art, origami exercises hand-eye coordination and can feel as calming as meditation. After every session, you will come away with amazing paper creations!

I've been practicing origami for over 20 years. My love of animals as a kid inspired me to learn origami so I could fold my very own paper zoo. Now, I teach students of all ages and skill levels to fold. I've also been a theatre educator for nearly a decade and I love helping to empower

Jeff was such an amazing teacher. He came to our home and even brought the special paper with him. Our son who is 7 and his friends (8-9yrs) thoroughly enjoyed learning how to fold origami and it was a creative fun way to spend the afternoon. We hope to do it again soon.
