Caleb began teaching me how to play acoustic guitar and ukulele three years ago. He has always been patient with and encouraging to me, understanding how I learn, and empowering me to explore musical techniques in my own way. In the past year of my career in music, I have been able to work with a band and record my first EP, and Caleb has been there to train me in musical performance as well as songwriting and recording. He is gifted with a phenomenal ear, mind, and appreciation for all types of music. Another unique feature about Caleb is his ability to deeply see and appreciate the talent and potential of others. In conclusion, Caleb is an exquisite musician and singer-songwriter, a respectful and honest young man, and an incredible instructor for all ages.

Rachel C.

Old Hickory, TN

I have taught music for 7 years and believe students should get to play what they want to play! Students are asked to come up with a list of songs and/or artists they would love to play. Through teaching chords, note reading and theory, the song possibilities are endless! I also can help the aspiring singer/mandolin player to be able to both play and sing simultaneously.

About Rachel

Hello there! I'm Rachel C., a bass player and singer on the stage who also enjoys playing and teaching all stringed instruments. I have a degree from Bowling Green State University (Ohio) in Music Education. I've taught lessons for over 7 years and truly love working with eager students of all ages. It's never too early or too late to pick up an instrument and make music! I look forward to working with you!

Cello
I took cello lessons from Rachel for several years. Although I had played piano as a child, I had not attempted to play a musical instrument for over forty years. Rachel was able to explain the instrument to me, and was very patient and encouraging. Her musical knowledge is extensive and she truly enjoys teaching. I highly recommend her as a teacher of any stringed instrument.

Rachel is an excellent teacher. I started with her when I was 57 years old and have taken lessons for over 5 1/2 years. This is the first instrument I have ever played. Rachel is extremely patient and very attentive to details. She is extremely knowledgeable academically and has a lifetime of performance experience. Any student young or old would be proud to have her as their teacher.
