Saxophone Lessons in Sperry, OK

I began teaching private music lessons in 2011 while I was studying Jazz Studies and Music Business in college where I was also trained on flute. I have worked with a wide age range of students, I have trained adults and students as young as five. I have high standards and a good attention to detail. I will teach you a strong foundation of fundamental practices that will develop proper posture and technique for both classical music and jazz. I will also teach you a strong foundation of music theory so you will be prepared to learn and/or write music of your choosing.

Students will learn how to properly learn and play the saxophone from the absolute basics to a high, intermediate level and beyond in various styles.
Beginners: The basics of embouchure, technical skills, proper breathing techniques, ability to read music.
Intermediate: Playing intermediate level solo pieces, refining technique, extending range, learning how to play music by ear and performing in various styles, from classical to jazz.

As a certified music teacher my lessons help students quickly gain confidence on the saxophone. With my guidance, students become well-rounded musicians able to play their favorite songs, explore new possibilities, make their own music, and take on new challenges!

Learn about rhythm, melody, harmony, and dynamics, and how they apply to the saxophone. Explore the range of your instrument through various scales. Build solid skills through understanding the mechanics of how your body and instrument work together.
