Saxophone Lessons in Foyil, OK

I began teaching private music lessons in 2011 while I was studying Jazz Studies and Music Business in college where I was also trained on flute. I have worked with a wide age range of students, I have trained adults and students as young as five. I have high standards and a good attention to detail. I will teach you a strong foundation of fundamental practices that will develop proper posture and technique for both classical music and jazz. I will also teach you a strong foundation of music theory so you will be prepared to learn and/or write music of your choosing.

We will learn proper embouchure, hand placement, improvisation, reading or whatever you want to learn to get you excited about Saxophone

I tailor each individual lesson to that persons goals, needs, wants, and styles.

My goal is to learn music the fun way. Along the way we'll learn theory, chords, scales, ear training, composition, reading music, tempo etc

Hi! I'm David and I have a Bachelor's Degree in Saxophone Performance from San Jose State University and am currently working on my Masters in Saxophone Performance. Saxophone has been my passion from a young age and I have thoroughly enjoyed my journey of learning, performing, and paying it forward to others. My hope in each lesson is to keep the learning process fun! I believe we can work up our technical proficiency, musical understanding, and artistic decision making while keeping music fun, because at the end of the day making music should spark joy and emotion. I look forward to meeting with you and helping you achieve whatever goals you have for yourself and your instrument!
