An instrument in the percussion family that consists of wooden bars struck by mallets. Each bar is an idiophone tuned to a pitch of a musical scale, whether pentatonic or heptatonic in the case of many African and Asian instruments, diatonic in many western children's instruments, or chromatic for orchestral use. I am a professional singer, actress, and voice teacher with a great passion for mentorship through music. I believe that music can be one of the most powerful vehicles for expression, confidence, and most importantly, joy. As a teacher, I aim to help my students harness all that an education in music has to offer and apply it to whatever their goals may be, both inside and outside of music.
Drawing from lifelong experience in music performance and education, I practice a holistic approach to voice teaching that combines vocal technique with dramatic interpretation, music literacy, and self-exploration. I welcome students of all different backgrounds, ages and levels of experience into my studio. Genres that I teach include Opera/Classical, Musical Theater, and Pop. Whether your goals are to pursue a professional career in performance or to simply have fun, I am commited to helping you find your voice!
