I've been teaching bass since 2009.
Some of my favorite bassists are Flea from RHCP's, Les from Primus, Cliff Burton from Metallica, Victor Wooten, John Deacon from Queen, and many more.
I use Fender, Ibanez, Flea bass, Tech 21 SansAmp, JBL, and Ampeg.
There is not just one book that will give you everything you need so I teach from a number of books by different companies like Alfred, KJOS, Hal Leonard, song books, to individual pieces from music notes. I also create, print, and email custom lessons created on a program in my Mac.
It usually takes around 2 - 3 months for beginner to start catching on and be able to play well. It really depends on how much the student practices. Having spent a lifetime on the stage in many roles, many capacities, I have accumulated a vast amount of knowledge pertaining to all facets of performing; be it theater, television, film. While not subscribing to one particular "method", I stress "reacting, not acting", and believability of performance. All ages and experience levels have benefited from my approach. Whether a student is an aspiring actor, or a working actor sharpening their skills or prepping for an audition, I provide a solid foundation and practical, applicable knowledge and guidance.
About Glenn
I have been active in the entertainment industry since the age of 12, when I gave my first professional performance. Prior to that I was already being introduced to music with years of guitar, and then vocal instruction. I do not remember a time of my life when I was not singing somewhere; in the ho

Julie has gave me every reason to throw those excuses out the window. After a month of lessons I can already tell an improvement in my reading of music and knowledge of music. She knows how to making things easy for me to understand while also balancing that with a great challenge.
I have very high expectations and goals set for myself, that many would say are "too high". But I have no doubt Julie will get me to where I want to go!
100% would recommend to anyone.

When you’re first learning to play guitar, it's important to develop the dexterity and coordination of your left and the right hands. To be able to use both hands is our initial goal and this takes a good amount of practice. If you’re going to spend hours practicing, you might as well use that time to learn something that you like to play. After all, it is much more fun to practice songs in a genre that you like, rather than practicing a piece in a style that you don’t like. So, if you …
