I began playing the violin in fourth grade and continued all the way through high school. I also spent two years in my high school’s chamber orchestra.

I give Beginner Lessons through Early Intermediate.

My studio is ideal for the study of violin because I can accompany my students on my grand piano.

Have played many different percussion over the years.
The trip to Brazil helped with Samba and other percussion.
Three years with Holland America Line put it into use, along
with drum set.

My major instrument in college was clarinet, but I am a woodwind specialist, having performance experience on flute, clarinet, and saxophone. I have a particular affinity for late beginners, and have had some success in helping these students catch up to their peers. All of my woodwind students use the Rubank method books in addition to any method books they may already be using in their band classes. I also introduce appropriate literature and studies specific to each instrument once the basics have been mastered. I encourage all of my woodwind students to participate in OMEA Solo and Ensemble contest and to audition for OMEA District and State Honor Bands.

With one to one instruction, you'll learn to play chords, scales, note reading, tablature, finger picking, strum patterns and improvisation. Within just a few lessons, students will begin learning how to play their favorite songs, including, "Somewhere over the Rainbow" ," I'm Yours", "Hey Soul Sister" and many more. Also, students will learn how to play various styles of music like, Blues, Pop, Classical and Rock.
