I had my own country band (Sunset Country) for 8 years. We performed regionally during that time frame playing as many as 70 plus gigs a year. The band did both current and classic country music. I happen to like both. Some only like one or the other. I still perform country music in two of the bands I'm currently playing in and could be of great help to you regardless if you play current, or classic country, acoustic and/or electric guitar.

My approach is about getting you playing your favorite songs quickly, and understanding the musical concepts behind what you're playing. You'll learn the concepts and techniques to improve your playing, while learning that new smash hit you cant get out of your head!

Learn the specifics of Electric/Acoustic rhythm or lead guitar.
Besides learning to play your favorite songs, we'll cover common chord progressions and scales, as well as Country specific techniques like chicken/Travis/finger-picking, pedal steel bends and banjo rolls.

Want to play your favorite songs? Want to write your own? While focusing primarily on technique and theory, we'll also spend at least part of each lesson being creative together, whether improvising, or writing something, or just playing a game, because I believe that to be a well-rounded musician is to know how to communicate one's own ideas fluently. We'll also explore a variety of styles, including rock, country, pop, folk, and jazz, and we will learn songs both using a pick and using the fingers. I'm Ahmad a very enthusiastic musician. I started out teaching myself guitar at the age of 12. I moved to the U.S. in 2001 and studied music for 15 years receiving my B.M. and M.M in music and audio production at San Francisco State University. I then moved to Los Angeles then studied and trained with John Mayer, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, George Lynch and many others. I have performed hundreds of concerts in the U.S. as well in Europe and the Middle East with Artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Michael Angelo Batio, Ratt, Sammy Hagar, Dokken and many others. I ranked #1 in the Slash Guitar Center competition. I was in the "list of top 5 guitar players ever" according to The Examiner, also picked as one of the best guitarists of 2013 and 2014 consecutively in the Rockwell UnScene magazine, and ranked 3rd in the Steve Vai Sam Ash Best in Shred competition.
