Steve actually researched a style of play that he was unfamiliar with to teach me. Obviously a master musician, he analyzed the basics of the style and started from my baseline, teaching me the technique from the ground up. A dedicated and friendly teacher, I'd recommend him to anyone.

About Trevor

Every musician was first and foremost a fan of music. My love of music began when my mother took me to a performance of Beethoven's fifth symphony when, coincidentally, I was five. From that point, I started fervently listening to my mother's records (those are the huge, black monstrosities th

Taking Electric Bass Guitar lessons with Dan Brown, has been a great experience. Dan listened to my goals and tailored the lessons around my ability and musical influences. His classes are well structured, but also relaxed. Dan has incredible knowledge of the Bass and has encouraged me in all styles of play including slap Bass. I have no hesitation in recommending Dan to anyone interested in learning Bass.

Judy is fantastic and super nice!!!!
Michael
I'm a reasonably advanced bass player who needs to pick up some other instruments including guitar. This puts me in the awkward position of knowing too much for my own good when it comes to learning.

Judy has been great about reigning in my tendency to expect to "get it" immediately. At the same time, she's helped me make real, concrete progress in becoming competent on guitar. In the short time I've been taking lessons from her I've gone from being able to noodle a bit with random blues licks to being able to play actual songs and recognize and play chords.

I went into this knowing I would be a difficult student no matter how hard I tried not to be. Judy has not only coped, she has excelled.

This was my daughter's first lesson. She loved working with Judy. Said she makes learning to play the Ukulele fun and easy.

"We were so lucky to have been referred to Tommy. Our middle school son wanted to branch out from playing the upright/classic bass, to electric bass and acoustic guitar. Tommy worked with our son for nearly 2 years. Tommy was always reliable, always prompt, always polite and 100% committed to the music and to our son's personal progress & improvement. He was always flexible, upbeat and easy to work with...with the patience of a saint...esp. for the parent who knows nothing about guitar. A huge talent!"

"My first lesson with Noah was a winner! I felt at ease with him right away, He took time to learn a bit about my background and my goals on bass, gave me some spot-on tips about what he saw in my current playing style and then a homework exercise to get started. As a teacher he's confident and encouraging and very easy to talk to despite a significant age difference between us (I'm much older!). Delighted with my choice of him as my instructor."

What is an Acoustic Bass Guitar? A Look at the Instrument
